I'd like to make a poll but i don't know how to make it.
Ok, the superdragons are ok, as pets.
But Destard it's a very very bad dungeon, now.
Before the last patch it was the dungeon for all who want to make leather and for me, that i tame pets for the Museum of Moonglow. But it was a dungeon quite difficult, but normally you gain money and many much other things.
Now, with the superdragons, it was become a desolation dungeon.
Ther's someone that want to tame a superdragon . Ok. But why don't you make an area like for the cu sidhe, where someone who want a supdragons go there?
And leave Destard and all the places that theee arre dragons free????
Like cu.. There an only area on one can tame it.
It's the same for the superdragons.
Let one area for taming the superdragons and the old one make like ole one

I HATE THIS NEW ChANGE. I have a superdragon, but for me Destard is out.
It's not a poll but i hope that many many people answewr to me.

I agree. Destard was one of the few Old dungeons where you would always see multiple people there. It's sad that hardly any of the original dungeons are hunted. Which is why it was nice to see a steady flow of people in destard.

Although, it does seem to be the best place for a greater dragon to live. It's got more of a dragon dwelling feel to it than anywhere.

Something is wrong. Base firebreath damage is 10% of the hp. It can be up to 200 for wild superdragons. Then you factor your fire resist. Now they have their stats halved when tamed. So the max firebreath damage a tamed superdragon can inflict against 70 fire resist is 30 (it can be a bit higher if the victim is cursed or corpse skinned).

i like destard now

its a dangerous place not everybody can go

when you have a greater dragon you can hunt there, a trained greater dragon can deal with 2 greater dragons and 2 normal dragon at the same time IF you have vet.

also next patch you can see if a dragon is a normal or greater one, so you can easily avoid the greater ones.

also destard should not be a place for leather farming .... barbed leather was so easily to get

i go often to destard to look for a very good greater dragon to tame, yes most time i am alone ... i love it ... but i can survive there ... so destard is dangerous yes, but not impossible to hunt there

I kill them all the time solo.

I've killed paragon super dragons with over 10,000 HP with one other person helping me vet my cu.


I dex them. Archer them.


Upgrade for the win.

I took Connor against em. Was a nice fight, but he won in the end. I figured if a dexxer could take one, then my archer would still plow through them. Guess I should take him down there too and give em a go.

I like it!!! Me and a guildmate terrorized the residents in Destard for a couple of hours tonite. He died once while hunting and I died twice while taming a shiny new addition to my stables (well mabey not so shiny as he is brown), but much fun was had none the less.

Tis true that the Destard Caves are more deadly than ever. However, more changes are coming...Seers even now are crafting powerful magiks that will reveal Greater Dragons so that all may differentiate them from their weaker cousins. While some may still wander Destard alone (solo), most would be well fore-warned to go in companies of 2 or 3. Seek out a Mage or a Bard to accompany thee, and all may leave afoot rather than afloat.

As mere side speculation, perhaps the gods of Britannia are intentionally slowing the gathering of the barbed leather gleaned from the dragons hides. And perhaps those gods continue considering their actions.

Only time will reveal this.

I quit going to Destard because of the Super. I would rather be able to make gold in Tokuno, or get arties in Doom then face a pack of those supers alone like I used to face the normal spawn before the birth of the Super.

One way I used to make my gold was sell extra barb leather to players, I was selling at 100 gp per piece, when the super hit the dungeons, I told the wife, barb and horn leather just went up 100%, what barb we have you can bet I am not selling but holding on for my needs in game.

Its called the Ye Old Resource Dungeon.

You walk in and there are stacks of resources for everyone.

The DEVS figured what the heck, resource gathering was getting dangerous.

Sorry, Frarc ... disagree..

I have a decent Paladin that did die to regular dragons in Destard when more than 2 came at him AND healing just couldn't keep up. Even solo against 1 dragon with a slayer crescent blade, he took a beating before a dragon went down. And it was NEVER in 2 hits that a dragon dropped.

Now, Destard is really empty ... there aren't even tamers there on LA all that much. Why? Because the Supers are a royal pain to all who do end up as targets. The attacks they deliver and the rapidity give no chance for many to even recover before they go down.

Did I farm leather? Not primarily ... I farmed fame, gems, armor pieces for my smith. Many times I left hides and gold on the floor. &lt;shrug&gt;

I guess you haven't heard from the wispering grapevine, a special seed is being introduced which will, when properly cared for, funnel gold right into your bank account!

It always was kind-of odd how Destard was only scary to newbie chars, and to everyone else, it was just a big leather farm.

I seemed to recall Dragons at one time being badass enough to require several people to kill them, with a real possibility of everyone getting their ass kicked for their effort. Dragons as a leather farm has been a weird concept for me as a returning vet player.

I can't say that I mind how it's a bit harder now. If people wanna leather farm, maybe they should hit despise where the lizardmen are, or hit the reptile champ spawn in ilsh. Yeah that's blue leather and not *dragon green* leather but, maybe leather from dragons shouldn't be a cinch to get.

I think the super dragons are a great addition but it is just too many of them wandering around and mixing in with everything else. Also, i have seen a nice decrease in spawn but i think it should be slowed down a little more. Perhaps when i can see which are regular and which are super it will be a little clearer.

Can we also fix the gap in the fire temple that allows them to teleport through the floor? Theres nothing worst than casting Eoo for a demon and having a super dragon appear in front of you and kill you instantly

i think the same thing.
Destard was a great dungeons for resourses, train pets, raise karma and fame and make gold.
The superdragon are coool but tooooo many. I play solo. I enter with my pet and whern i attack a superdradon puff.... 2 or 3 another went to combat with the first. They attack you and your pet and in 2 second both die.
I think that would be less supergradon. 2 or 3 at maximum, that respawn just immediately. So, who want to play for funny go to Destard and also who want to try his strenght or tame one of these

Too many superdragon. Let reduce them!!!

Exactly as I predicted. A bunch of forum-dwellers who type stuff like this get all excited because FORSOOTH DRAGONS ARE MIGHTY, LET US FORM A JOLLY FELLOWSHIP TO SLAY THEM and meanwhile the real actual in-game effect is that the dungeon just sits abandoned. Great "improvement" to the dungeon.

I've been playing in Catskills now but I've seen also in europa that same thing.
Destard is empty of players.
There'll be a reason for this, isn't it?
Don't you think that it's more difficult now? And who play solo?
There are just many difficult dungeons. If you want to play in party go there!
But the truth is that Destard is empty now....
