Summoning Pets with Pet Ball to Ilshenar

Ok I pretty much quit farming in Ilshenar when the changed the bags of sending and how they worked.

Now back them I remember being able to summon my pet one time but not being able to summon it once my pet arrived in Ilshenar...

So I would stealth to the bottom of random Dungeons and would summon my pet or could summon it to spirituality if there was a fight going on...

Did they change it somewhere because now I can not summon a pet into Ilshenar.

It's been changed relatively recently so you can't use pet summon balls in Ilshenar. But we've got better pet AI these days to enable us to lead a pet past spawn which helps a lot. That's how I go to most hunts these days.

Some folks probably use the autostable feature to work around the pet ball fix, but for long runs I usually just use a mount pet and hide-run-hide my way through any really dicey areas. Adds a bit of excitement to the journey

Cant you just leave it near a gate, and relog real quick? My tamer is my least used char, but I remember doing that before.

The way I recall it working was that the pet had to be out of the stable in order to summon it to Ilsh. Haven't tried in quite a while though, so there could have been changes I missed.

You could always leave it somewhere, gate to ilsh, get to where you watn to go then log out then in.

Your pet will be standing happily by your side

That is the way it worked, not sure if that has changed.

Also, didn't they make it so you cannot summon your pet while hidden?

Summoning a pet now works kinda like casting a spell (you wave your arms about and such), so I assume it reveals you.

I've noticed I can't summon pets into areas such as the Citadel. Don't know if that used to work.

If you try using the auto-stable thing to call it, it just stays in stable. If you try the ball, you're specifically told it's not gonna happen.
