I think I posted something like this a while back, but though I would bring back the idea in its own thread.
I would really like to see a way to imprison tamable pets into a mini-statue. The statues would retain the hue and form of the tamed animal and show its skills and stats via a context menu. A lot of the art is already there in the form of ethy statuettes, vet reward statues and contribution statues, but there are prolly a few that would need to be added, as well as making the various rare pet hues available. The craftable could make use of the new workable glass. Obviously to imprison or release the pet you would need the appropriate levels of taming and lore to be the pet owner.
I think this would provide a couple of nice features associated with tamers as a profession.
First, rare pets would become something that could be displayed in a home. Think of all those legacy pets that old time tamers are so attached to... now they can be immortalized in a statue and displayed as the rare that they are. The same can be said for those rare hue pets. It also opens up the possibilities to display those statues for accounts without tamers. This could open a whole new market for tamers looking to tame and sell rare or high end pets for display purposes.
Second, this would allow that transfer of pets between shards without the need to move that actual tamer. It would also open up the possibility of moving pets between tamers on the same account and same shard without the need to involve a third party tamer just to make the transfer.
Lastly, it would give tamers the ability to store additional pets without the needs to increase the stable slot counts currently in place. (though I still think none tamers need more like 6-8 slots).
