Unfortunately I missed the last Felucca Event, the Seabattle, but I heard from friends that it went badly and the EM promised not to have any more fel events.
I sincerely hope that the part about no more fel events is not true. On the other hand, most fel events in the past did indeed go badly. So as a longtime felucca player I thought I give my 2 cents why that is and how future events could avoid that.
The reason felucca events didn't work in the past
All EM events on Drachenfels that took place in the past had one thing in common that made them doomed from the start: they imposed rules that the players had to follow voluntarily - like the "You are only allowed to fire with canons! That means: No Spells, or other distance weapons!" rule from the seabattle event. Things like that will never work in felucca. Players are able to attack each other freely there and let's face it, there will always be some jerks who exploit that.
So, what to do?
Quite simple to be honest, just do not add rules you cannot enforce. Take advantage of the felucca ruleset for your event.
Possible Events
So, now that we established, that fel events can't add any EM-made rules but have to use what's there - what kind of events are even possible there? Quite many actually, I will try and give some examples:
Those are just some ideas, I'm sure you can come up with more along these lines.
I just wanted to point out, why so many felucca events failed, imho, and give some advise how to make it work in the future. Because I really like felucca events and would be quite disappointed if there weren't any more.
I hope this helps a bit.

Possible Events
So, now that we established, that fel events can't add any EM-made rules but have to use what's there - what kind of events are even possible there? Quite many actually, I will try and give some examples:
- Capture the Flag - a multiplayer classic. Just announce that you (the EM) will drop a certain item at a certain place at a certain time. The first player to bring that item to a target destination wins. Of course the item needs to be cursed and ideally prevents recalling and colours the player carrying it - just like a faction sigil.
- Defend the Hill - another classic, allows for team play. The participating teams register beforehand. The goal is to hold a certain area at a certain time, e.g. hold the starroom at 16:00. Leave it open to the players, when they start competing for for the spot. Of course it should be a place you cannot recall to.
- Dungeon Dive - the EM deposits an item somewhere deep inside a dungeon, the first player to emerge from the dungeon with the item wins. Again, a sigil-like colouring mechanic would be good.
- Survivor - very simple again, many players enter, last one to stand wins. Of course this should be somewhere without healers and ideally something should be set up, so you cannot re-enter once you left. Lady Melisandes Lair comes to the mind, if the EM can freeze Melisande and make her invulnerabel for the time of the event. Friends can resurrect each other but would have to fight each other in the end - there can be only one
- Bounty Hunter - either choose a player or guild for the hunted or make yourself vulnerable for the time being. Then drops some hints and give them cursed items (scalps?). The ones to bring these items to the sheriff in Britain win.
- Battle of the Cities - assign teams to cities. Place a box that only the EM can open but everybody can drop something into in each city (like a mailbox). Drop a cursed item somewhere. The first team to drop that item into the box in their hometown wins. Again some colouring mechanic would help.
Those are just some ideas, I'm sure you can come up with more along these lines.
