There were no announced changes to any of the strong box quests. Are you sure you're not just having a run of bad luck?

yes, i used to get nice jewels and sometimes okay weapons but for the past few weeks it been giving nothing but junk... FC2 ring with no other props...?
Others on Siege Perilous have also noted that the loot is weak now.

Well i didnt base my post off of what ive been getting.
It's from asking others what they been getting too.

Different quests you can pick up in different cities.
The end result it whatever it is you do, is a strongbox. Supposed to have the best loot from quests.
It's what you get for doing DH the first time.
In this case, you collect 20 gaman horns, a tattered fragment of a map, and 3 minotaur artifacts. Turn them into Heartwood and get a strongbox.

I just did 6 of those quests on Pacific and didn't notice anything different. All items had properties of the correct intensity. I think it's more that you're having a bad streak with the RNG than anything else. I've been doing these quests about every other day and haven't noticed any change at all.
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's been nerfed. It seemed to have started declining a couple months after they nerfed the bottle quest, and it seems that after every publish it keeps getting worse. I like killing the gamans for tactic gains from upper 60 to mid 80 range, and by the time I'm done with a char I've collected somewhere around 200-300 horns. At one point in time I was getting something good about every second or third quest. Last week, I did the quest 10 times and out of all those I keep one bracelet that had something like +13 to Provo and Disco and one or two other mods I think, and a heavy crossbow that I can't remember what it had, but it was somewhat decent.
It's been a while since I've done the Sanctuary quest that once gave good loot, but the last time I ran it all day I didn't get anything good.

Everyone I've asked on the Siege Perilous shard has confirmed that the loot in these boxes have been nerfed... by a lot.
Thats exaclty what I am talkin about.

I kept 5 or 6 bows from last week that were all good enough to enhance and put on my vendor, along with several pieces of jewelry and 3 talismans. Like I said, you've just been getting a bad run with the RNG. You're not going to get godly items every time you turn one in. If that was the case, people wouldn't still be doing them 3 yrs later.

Other shards have not posted about nerfed drops from the quest. Could be related just to Siege? Perhaps is just poor luck. What do you consider good loot? What do all the people you asked consider good loot?
I have used close to 200K in boards without a runic fletchers kit. Doesn't mean they nerfed the drops. More information would help. You only listed one bad drop and the ten from the other poster. Eleven bad drops doesn't mean they nerfed anything. Post this on the Siege forum with some of the drops you have been getting.
If there is something wrong, the more information you give them, the quicker they can resolve to problem. If there is one.

i did the quest a number of times yesterday and got a number of keepable pieces. I dont see a nerf to it. You might just be going through a dry spell.

It could always be a mass psychological effect going on there.
It's natural that when something like strong boxes come along, that at first they will seem AMAZING simply because they contrast so strongly with what you're used to, but after a while that amazing quality becomes the standard for you, and perceptually it looks like the intensity levels have dropped, but if you were taking down precise statistics, you'd probably see no difference.

Or it could be that someone decided that it didn't make sense to have a top-tier quest where the character didn't actually have to do anything but buy some things to redeem? (I don't do this one often, but have found bags of minotaur artifacts just dumped at the bank before)
Yea it's funny that. Whenever something gets nerfed there always seems to be an immediately apparent reason for it - it's almost as if someone were designing these things

It seriously could just be a bad streak. Believe it or not it IS possible to get a lot of bad rewards in a row. You are not guaranteed to get something good if you do X many in a row, just more likely.

I ran the quest again today. I took some screen shots of a few peices that came in the boxes. I know some of this is trash but i am posting the pics to show the intensity of the properties.
You can still get really good items from this quest and i think the intensities show it. Also yes you can get trash items with almost zero intensity for the properties.

Are you really complaining about some rubbish repeatable quest getting nerfed? I mean, I understand you might play Siege (which is supposed to be a shard based on more..talent, and less item reliance?), or you may not be able to afford runics in this day and age, but really man? You say "Your players", like you speak for the masses! I for one don't give a damn about the "loot quality" on some quest, and I'm sure MANY others have the same out look.
