Stuff on Pacific

I have these items and have no idea what they are worth (if anything). Long story short my account is 100 months old and I haven't played the game for the last 4 years (less the last couple of days) - auto-payment is a wonderful thing. I will now be on playing as before now that I retired from the Navy after 26 years

. It may just take me 26 more years to figure out all the changes in UO, wow, there is a ton! Anyway, on to my items;

Double slayer weapons I made;

A blacksmith repair deed that now says "Unknown"

A deed to a two story villa

I also have a necklace that has 2500 diamonds and a 32 star saphire(sp?) wedding band or ring, cant remember what it says

To clairify - it does say Weddingband.

Found boots with 74 invis charges, fel and tram stones, a rose from Curate (dont remember who that was...) and an old potted plant.

Also, what Vet rewards should I get - I can choose like 6, any input would be great!

I'm not sure on the double slayers, if they have any value as weapons or items or what. I think I've heard 'unknown' deeds are going for around 250-500k, a deed to a two story villa is probably 2 mill or so, you will want to make sure you keep it locked down or in a secure, do not log out with it on your character or put it in your bank. Multi-gem jewelry there is still a ton of around, this stuff goes for very little unless you happen to have a piece with either 60k gems (or at least several thousand k), and weddingbands of that nature go for more.

Congrats on your retirement, I hope you still enjoy UO as you did before. =)

that particular crystal ball that you have, was created by bug thats why it has all that text. I actually bought one for 5k on a luna vendor on pacific the other day but I don't think the seller realized what he was selling, mispriced it, or being generous. ill usually see them for about 250k in the overpriced luna vendors, but sometimes ill even see them like at 50k. Its just a Q&A ball, the regular non-bugged ones don't have all that text, just says "crystal ball" (or something like that) but acts just like a Q&A ball when you double- click on it. They came from the 300th mondain anniversary gifts. these are hard to tell from the other crystal balls that also say "crystal ball" but are from the monster loot back in the day and DONT do anything when you double click it.

Thank you for the replies! I think what ill do is create a mini-museum on the top floor of my house. Amazingly enough my vendors I placed years ago with bods on them now have a couple of million on them each. I still remember when I first started playing $20K gold was a ton of money, was hard to make it back to a bank to deposit anything between the thieves, Reds and occasional lag deaths - I read a thread on here where someone mentioned a billion, now thats inflation!

Looking also at my halberd slayer - it has 20% damage increase and exceptionally made, I guess there was a period of time after the bod rewards came out and the new damage percentage display of 35% for exceptional - may make them more rare? The other one was monster loot I enhanced with gold because at the time "Luck" was the "in" thing.

Any input on what I should get as vet rewards? I already have all the dye tubs...

I am not sure if you remember me, but I used to meet you frequently in Serpents Hold smithy shop. Ahh the good ole days. Have fun playing, it is quite different today!

Save your rewards until you are sure of what you want. I am not sure what the good things to take are on the production shards. I know on Siege, the soulstones are very important. Good luck and if you need anything PM me.

I dunno where you got your info from, but all ask and answer balls have double lines of text, except for ones that have been placed directly onto a vendor, which wipes out all of their text. Anyone can make one without the text by throwing it directly onto a vendor - I sell regular ask and answer balls for like 15k on Baja by putting them in bags by themselves first then onto vendors.

I'm not Jed. Jed and I used to work tailor and smithy bods extensively - I don't remember why I would have ended up with on of his repair deeds - he probably has a couple of mine too

It was Jed, Sunny (of Bod Paradise) and Snap-on who helped me complete most of my bod projects. My chars names are Karth(KHF), Joe, Jack, Travis(S&amp;M) and David (my tamer).

I had a guy ask about my robe I got when I pre-ordered aos, he wanted to buy it and I had no idea what it may be worth - if asked again what would be a fair price?

Ayup... We on Pacific hang out at Luna now for the most part. There are a few diehards that still use Britain's bank and the occasional RPer that hangs around in Skara Brae still. No more PTC mall or PMM mall or others that you might remember from back then. Most of the commerce surrounds Luna or Zento nowadays or is done via Auction houses... Anyhow, welcome back to the Pacific - come visit us on the Pac Shard forum if you've got any specific questions and we'll be glad to help.

Oh, and as for the robe, do you mean the Shroud of Shadows? They've come down in price recently since they were made available again via a token purchaseable through EA. Last few I've seen were right around the 5-7 million range, I believe.

This is Moslar from Pacific. I use to run PMM mall and owned it. Glad you remembered how well that mall was. Find me a castle for sale someday and I'll have PMM mall running in no time again. Problem is there is never one for sale anymore. Anyways it was neat to hear that someone remembered the PTC/PMM era.

I've been around a while...

When I think of someone just returning to the game after a long absence, I figure they'll be needing things which leads me to think of malls... and the first that pop into my mind are PMM and PTC, even now after all this time. Both were long standing icons of Pacific... it was sad to see them go. Ahh well, now I make my circuit of Luna if I'm in need of or wanting anything. You've got another fine establishment running there in that corner... nicely displayed museum and all. Thank you for taking the time and effort to set it up.
