We are writing to introduce (or more nearly, re-introduce) everyone to some special people who have recently assumed responsibility for key roles at Stratics. These individuals possess significant experience in their fields, exude passion and insight, and perhaps most notably, are all long-time members of the Stratics family. These folks will be absolutely critical to the success of our revitalization efforts. Read more about them below!
Kirthag
Editor-in-Chief and Vice President of Publishing: Kirthag, our most recent addition to the leadership team, is a former UO reporter. In her professional life, she possesses extensive experience as a web designer, Internet marketer, content writer, and manager, among other things. As Stratics’ Editor-in-Chief, Kirthag will lead all publishing activities on our network. She is ultimately responsible for every page, post, and video that we publish. She will promote content creation, diversification, strategy, monetization impact, and professionalization. We are excited about the immense experience she brings to our family!
Dariuas
Community Director and Vice President of Operations: Dariuas has a Stratics tattoo. That’s devotion. As the Community Director, Tim is the face of the Stratics network, frequently serving as the first point of contact for game publishers, advertisers, clients, volunteers, readers, and community members. Tim’s responsibilities include brand management, community development, events and giveaways, direct marketing, and networking. Additionally, as VP of Operations, Tim is responsible for essentially anything that does not fall under the oversight of the Editor-in-Chief, Chief of Staff, or Forum Administrators—no small task!
Flutter
Community Manager, Social Media: Flutter is a long-time community member and social media super user. Flutter is transitioning into a Community Manager role, specifically focusing on social media marketing. In this role, she will serve as a single point of entry for all social media promotion at Stratics. She will work proactively to develop social media campaigns for our various accounts, as well as support all promotion requests from Stratics staff members.
Lady Tia
Community Manager, Ultima Online: Lady Tia has served Stratics for nearly six years, first as a reporter, then as a UO News Manager, and most recently as the UO Assistant News Administrator. Now, she has agreed to assume responsibility as the UO Community Coordinator, where she will work with the UO Stratics staff and UO developers to facilitate and promote community events and contests.
Shamus Turlough
Technical Director: Shamus is a technical demigod, with over 20 years of experience working with database administration, system security, and Red Hat software, among other things. He works to maintain whole-of-network technical health and is our collective savior in times of need.
MadMartyr
Technical Administrator and Consultant: Although MadMartyr is has not officially joined Stratics staff (yet), his services as a consultant and technical administrator are incredibly valuable to our network. MadMartyr is a WordPress guru, talented designer, and insightful developer, among other things. He’s here to help Shamus fix things that break and we are grateful for his expertise.
Tazar
Assistant Forum Administrator: Tazar was recently elevated to Assistant Forum Administrator. In this role, he will continue to act as a senior moderator for the Stratics Community, but he will also assist Magdalene and Petra by providing Admin Control Panel support to the community.
Shyanne
Associate Editor for ToonTown: Shyanne worked independently as a ToonTown content editor for quite some time. Following the departure of ToonTown Stratics’ former Managing Editor, Shyanne has agreed to assume responsibility for managing the portal as its Associate Editor.
BenK
Associate Editor for Shroud of the Avatar: BenK has been our most prolific SotA writer since he joined Stratics in March 2013. Having succeeded as both a writer and portal administrator, he is now assuming the reigns of the SotA portal as its Associate Editor.
