Stratics Animal Taming Guide- Cu Sidhe

I was just wondering... according to the Stratics tamer table, the Cu has 1500 hp on average? Actually... it says 1500 for all three catagories. Has anyone actually seen 1500? I can't find anything over 1200. And I've spent the last several months with them... I lore each one... and 1198 is the highest I've seen.

I have started to consider the perfect Cu to be the ones closest to 2000. Anyone else seeing anything different? Did I miss a patch somewhere that lowered them? Something? And if it has changed... shouldn't the data on the table be changed to reflect this? I'd be willing to help gather stats...

The stat information on stratics is wrong, for some reason (it was correct earlier this year). The stat ranges for a Cu Sidhe are:

Hit Points: 1000-1200 (halved when tamed)
Stamina: 150-160 (halved when tamed)
Mana: 250-290
STR: 1200-1224 (halved when tamed)
DEX: 150-160 (halved when tamed, max trained to 125)
INT: 250-290

The Cu Sidhe has not been changed in the game. If it had those stats, you would not see too many greater dragons anymore.

Thank you so much! It seems such a little thing but when you are taming the spawn in search of the perfect stats... it's nice to know what to look for. :)

It helps :p

The stats on a cu sidhe don't matter as much as the resists. The only stat worth looking at is its hit points, here is why:
STR - too small of a range (only 12) to make a difference in attack power;
DEX/Stamina - can be trained to 125, no matter what it was pre-tame;
INT/Mana - not a spell caster, bleed attack will not drain its mana

The resists make the difference between it being a powerhouse or a lap dog. It should take you roughly 1 to 1.5 hours of taming to find a cu sidhe with top noth resists.

Thank you... again! :)

I've spent the last 4 days... a total of about 56-60 hrs tame/killing Cu's and finally saw a 1200... plain. Still not a single Fire. For 28 hrs I tamed with only a 3 hr nap. Do you happen to know if luck makes a difference in spawn color? I seem to only get the higher end blue and one pink. It's frustrating... I really want that Fire!

Luck plays no part at all on the spawn. The chance for a Fire cu sidhe is 1 out of 23,000 that spawn... unfortunately, more than you are likely to see in 28 hours of taming.

Your luck won't make any difference to the spawn chances for coloured pups. Blaze cus are a very rare spawn, so you need to prepare yourself for long term work there. You may get one to spawn quite soon or you may never see one. And for the sake of your health, I'd advise you to take good long breaks from the screen when you're taming :) For one thing, you don't want to be half asleep when one spawns lol.

LOL... yeah... that length of playtime is not the norm. Just a one time thing. Although, I've still been at it everyday for at least 4 hours and no fire. :(
Did finally get a red though! Thanks so much for the replies! :thumbsup:

Just my Opinion, but to get the Fire (AKA Blaze) is far more luck (no NOT UO luck) than anything in else. It is just being in the right place at the right time.

Hope your Red had good stats and resists.

I carry 2 Cu's on each account, I have a normal color Cu that is nearly perfect in stats and resists. I need to take him to the Rotten Corpses to build up his Healing. I have a Cu that is the highest hue/color of Shadow/Black he can be with being the Jet Black. He is probably 95%+ of being perfect. Both of these are the effort of checking the Cu's twice Daily, for nearly 14 months and spending a lot of idle time turning them over. The other account has a Pure White and Ice Blue that are each 90%+ of being perfect.

It shouldn't be so hard... am I the only one who thinks the spawn rate is crappy and should be upped a bit? Maybe it's just me pouting and whining. lol. I have been known to do that on occasion. I just think that it should be more about game play to get one and less about personal luck.

And yes... the red had good stats. I was pleasantly surprised! First red I see and he's decent. YAY ME! I currently have an ice blue, a white, and a red. A guildy and myself pulled a black one (came after I logged) and he's got it. That's the one he wanted.

Anyone on Napa wanna go kill/tame and help a girl out? I really want one. :wall:
