Strange things going on with mythic/EA account need some help =/

Hey everyone I'm really at a loss here and I figure ill come here and see if someone has some advice for me or knows whats going on with my UO account. So basically I took a break from UO for a month and I wanted to come back for the expansion. I go to the UO site and I go to log in. My password did not work so I took the proper steps to reset my master mythic account password. I entered in my email and I received and email instantly with instructions how to change my password. I clicked the link and was prompted to enter my new password. As I hit the save button i received this error, "error processing request". I've tried this on multiple computers, browsers ect. I've emailed UO support, EA support and broadsword support and even Messana with this issue. No one has helped me. Its been almost three weeks of me trying to figure this out. Obviously there is something wrong with their website but I don't understand how it is not fixed by now. Is anyone else experiencing this issue??


Another weird issue I found is I can log into my EA account on the EA website and see past payment history of when I was billed for UO but in the about section it says I have no connected games tied to my account. That just doesn't make sense to me. Also I was under the impression that the mythic master account name and your EA account login were the same, But my EA account info will not let me log into my master mythic account. If anyone has any clue about this or what I should do it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The mythic account is your first EA account with _uo added at the end

These are example logins with the format i am using.


[email protected] - EA LOGIN
[email protected] - WAS MYTHIC LOGIN ALWAYS
johndoe_uo - MY UO ACCOUNT


now when i got to log into the mythic account is says use either your mythic or ea login. So ive always used my email and its worked. Also when i request to change my password it asks for mythic account and I put my email and it accepts it. If I was able to change my master account password within the bioware website id be fine. But that option does not seem to be working.

Sounds like your account somehow got banned. That's what happened to me when I had those issues.

Are you logging in through the account manager on the UO.com website or throught Origin? Check the email address you have tied to your Master account see there are any emails from EA/Mythic/Bioware or Broadsword.
If not then let walk through it a step at time ....and don't panic. I feel you pain I upgraded to Windows 10 and my laptop is now FUBAR. I'm doing everything on my tablet except play UO.

Okay reread your OP and the EA site doesn't show UO accounts connected to master just the bills. I dunno why. I just know you can only see UO account through uo acct manager login.

yes i am trying to log into my account from uo.com/account management. My login for that has always been my email for my EA/origin account. I can log into my EA.origin account no problem but when I use that same information to log into account management on UO it doesn't work. I always thought it was the same login for both? For some reason I have a feeling my EA account is no longer tied to my UO account and im not sure how that happened =/ and I guess i just found out that if you click "forgot mythic account password" that option hasn't worked in years? on the mythic website and you need to change your password from the origin website? This is just a mess

It is the same account. Like I said - if your master account or UO account somehow got banned, it will do exactly this. You can login to Origin, but can't login to EA/UO side.

I would send an email to support at uo.com and see what happens.

Far as I am aware that feature of changing your EA Mythic/Master Account password has NEVER functioned. It always results in a locking up of your account.... at which point I strongly suggest you go to the EA Help website and get them to call you. This way you can actually talk to a person and attempt to get it sorted out. If that doesn't work I'd write an Email to Mesanna... as trying to deal with the help is just like having bamboo shoved under your fingernails.

The locking out of your account happens when you try to change your password from mythic/UO account management? Is this a known issue?

I've emailed support many times already :( they seem to think its an issue with EA but I have a feeling its directly with mythic/bioware. I have emailed Messana as well but no response. Today is her birthday so I don't expect a reply today ;) but I am really hoping I can get someone on the phone. If my account did some how get banned id really like to straighten that out. Although I'm not sure how that even happens if my account has not been active! I just want to play UO! haha

okay go to help.ea.com contact us and choose Origin, then Choose PC(if you are on PC), then account security, then account hacked/comprimised. The little blank there type in what has happened.
Do not choose UO. Because UO will only give you the UO website link
It will bring up a page how would you like to contact us, click on call me and type in pphone number!

There ya go.

Wow I think you just found the quickest way to contact EA! I filled out the form and hit submit I literally got a call within 30 seconds... It was a miracle!

So here is what happened. I lost my debit card and canceled it through my bank. By doing that it basically flagged my EA account as fraudulent so they charged me for the subscription and I got the month but they did not get their money. So they banned my UO/Mythic account. So now I need to write an email to the terms of service department explaining why I canceled my card. The lady told me its likely I just received a warning, fingers crossed! Thanks for everything guys you really saved the day! :)

Your welcome sweetie! As for the letter here's some free tips from my business communication class: Be polite, be professional, be precise and concise. Try to keep tone postive and upbeat. Also you are suppose write in the third person, but I wouldn't worry in your case. I'm really glad I could help.

Be sure to explain that in detail in the email and that it was an unintentional consequence of the card being lost/stolen.

I kind of wish I saw your guys responses before I wrote the email! But its already sent. The lady on the phone told me to just be honest and straight forward so I made it short and sweet. Probably not the best at writing professional type emails but I gave it my best shot! Ill post it below tell me what you guys think!

Hello I am contacting your department with a banned EA account. Basically what happened was I lost my credit/debit card and canceled the card through my bank. At the time I was not playing Ultima Online but I had an active subscription. I canceled my card which took any charges away from what EA billed me for that month, which was $13.90. I did not take the proper procedures in canceling my EA subscription before I canceled my Bank card. I am truly sorry this was a big mistake on my part and I take full responsibility. Whatever money I owe I will pay back and any other fees that are necessary. I've been playing Ultima Online for many years now with not to many complications I hope your team can see that I made an honest mistake. I assure you this will never happen again. I love Ultima Online and I hope I can play again. I really appreciate your team taking the time to read my dispute and help me with this issue.
