Stone Crabs

Has anyone, in recent memory, managed to land one of these things? I put the suit on, applied the bait, dropped & pulled several hundred traps & nada. The usual ones are, always, a welcome addition to the stocks my fisher holds, but I wanted these for my samp, and I'm starting to lose the will to live fishing for the damn things!

last one I caught was 7/25/18 if that counts as recent. I only used bait and luck.

Yes, that counts as recent. I was wondering if there was a bug and no one had noticed. But, it's just the RNG hating me as usual!

How many times are you letting the traps bob? I find I get better results if I let them bob about 3 times. You will loose some but you will also catch more stone crabs.

They're going at least twice, sometimes three or more. I put about fifty in my pack, slow forward & drop em as I sail a straight line. Then I stop, slow back to the beginning of the line & move forward to pick em up.
