Not >I< ... yet

Cinemagraph is the "style" and it is >exactly< what I have been waiting for for the highrez digital photo frame ...There are decades worth of "old photos" already "cycling thru" ...
and it is a rare event ... to get one of the elders to "set up and run" the decades of film ...
heh!
Shades of hogwarts ...

now ... what degree of psychic damage ... I'll end up placing on the grands and following generations ...
welp! not my problem ... :danceb:

It's nothing special, just a blending of newer technology with older... if you notice all those images are .gif format... animated .gif images are quite common and have been used for ages, what's newish though is how people are now using hi-resolution images as the basis.

Photography is photography, a gif is a gif... nothing to see there but a trick.

*sigh*
The mini-animations you posted are by Richard Avedon or something?
Since you compare them to Leonardo...
(espacially the third one with running water is utterly kitsch, you have to admit)

There is a Vuitton logo on Mona Lisa, so what? What does this have to do with gifs NOT being the future of photography?

in no particular order, the shots are by:
-Lee Spooner
-Leah Nicolich-Henkin
-Oleksandr Panasyuk
*shrugs* available at the name of technique link

And it is about the TECHNIQUE which is new,
Not the >medium< or the general "field" OF photography
nor the >names< of the artists ... :talktothehand: that be cult of personality stuffs ... *disgusted face*

No, >I did not< compare >anyone< to Leo ...
and I >doubt< that the microscopically concealed symbols had ANYTHING to do with ... "Vuitton" was your guess?
no

"nothing to see there but a trick" ... is what I was surprised by("it" coming from YOU).
pfffft!*shrugs* you sounded rather dismissive/disappointed ...

not MY Fault ... now is it?
I JUST offered something to look at

You getting enough or too much roughage in your diet?

:talktothehand: nvm

I'd THEN be required to ask for photographic "proof" ...
(obviously, you would try a photoshopped fake, First ... )

utterly kitsch? (even the old lady is shaking her head NOnononononono !!! )

Nope ... >just< some examples of some new technique ... by some admitted amateurs ... admittedly just screwing around in an experimental manner.

O'well, different tastes for diffint folkz, burma shave it baby! :danceb:
