Still No 15th Anniv Gifts.

Did not know there was an issue with the gifts. Have you tried posting about it here Bug Tracking | Stratics Forums . They have been very active on them here lately.
I thought ones i did not get a anniversary gift on 1 character in EC client. I was sure i saw a the message but did not see the gifts.Even when i logged out and back in i could not see it. But then toggled my backpack from normal to list view and i saw it in it. 
I'm not sure there's anything to resolve?
Using a bit of logical deduction. The RTB accounts are acting as trial accounts. Trial accounts only last 14 days normally, therefore are never old enough to qualify for gifts.
Also, it could be logically argued the anniversary gifts are a 'thank you' for supporting the game. RTB accounts aren't paid for, therefore aren't supporting the game, and so do not qualify to receive the gifts.

Petra all of my old house holding accts are paid for 45 day codes and have been used for years, and DID always get gifts until this year, so to celebrate the 15th year they have made a negative change to these accts, to make it clear these are NOT trail accts and are imo owed!

If your accounts are active and paid for, yes you should have gotten a gift. If this is the case please post the details in the bug forum. [edit] never mind, I moved your other thread there.
but gifts, by definition, are never 'owed'.
If your accounts are not active and not paid for, then you have your opinion and I have mine and we'll simply have to agree to differ.

RTB activated accounts do NOT get any gifts, it was only for a short time a few days ago and was disabled after maintance it seems like.
If you want gifts on an old account, that is NOT a trail account, you have to subsribe for at least 1 month - the payment will start by 6th of october after RTB is closed on the 5th of October.
After you subsribed for the account, log in your chars and you will get your gift drop - this will last for sure until 1st of october but might last till 5th of october since RTB was delayed activated...
I did this 3 times yet and it always worked..
If yoou got other problems, you should report it as a bug

Gifts are, also by definition, given without expecting payment in return, and if we stick with the dictionary definitions, these items can only be classified as premiums, promotional items linked to a product, and they are owed if you already have the product. I still prefer to call them gifts that should be distributed in equal terms.
And gifts are given to people who deserves it not the one with the gimme gimme attitude.
If i have 2 family members and the one i see every week and help me when i need it , i will gladly give him a gift. If the other ones only shows up 1 time a year to get something from me he can choose between 2 gifts, the left middle finger and the right one.

so buying account codes for the same sort of money that you use does not merit reward, not forgetting many RTB people taking up the offer of gametime are very old vet players, players that may just be convinced to sub again, these people are not worthy then?
agreed trial accts maybe/def not, but with my 2 main accts there were no gifts, (closed earlier this year) paid for for 5 yrs and 7yrs, and the many many accts codes i bought for ingame house sales, all $$$$$ for EA, this year they are suddenly not worthy this year? nice
in the past my chrs received velvet box gift sets,10th anni white box sets, holiday bells, snowmen etc during other RTB schemes etc, so they DID get rewarded for past subs..........

but the "other" family member has helped you in the past yes?(like paying $$$$ for subs in the past) so you only help family members if they helped you, nice conditional relationship you must have
Somethings changes other things don't, I guess you just have to pay for 1 month per account to get gifts. But is it really worth it, I doubt many people will return to UO for long, nothing in the game has changed to the better. But the game will never die since there will always be people who enjoy the game, while others just move on. No matter if you played the game for 14 years and have not played for 1 year, you will not get those gifts without paying. but someone who has played for 2-3 months will get them since they are paying. I told you things would change, there would be a lot less freebies for players, but it was not the reason why I left. I doubt I will be able to enjoy UO again, that being said I will play Ultima4Ever since I'm a huge fan of the Ultima Series, and it was also the reason I started playing UO. But Jack just have to learn not to expect to much, you should know how it all works. The gifts would have been a great way for old players to actually make some gold and enjoy the game like it is now, very old vets who does not have PS or arties, they will not survive long or enjoy much if they want to compete in the game now, not with the high prices there is on items. But can always enjoy the RTB and just see if the restrictions and the trouble with being able to afford a lot of items will make them return. But also there are the gift traders who only have accounts for this sort of things, this might be what they are trying to stop, but those people also have helped out a lot of other players in the past. Making the other players happy. Just let it go and play other games like the rest

The reply that I have been getting from my tickets for YEARS is the cut and paste, "we are aware of the issue and we are working on it."
Honestly it has been YEARS that I log in accounts and don't get rewards on all my chars on all my shards. I foolishly file ticket after ticket.
So ok I have paid for a sub for 15 years and no I do not feel like this is owed me, it is a gift. But I would like my gift(s) that I properly qualify for just like everyone else. I can understand the hibernating accounts not getting them but honestly it kills me to spend the time to log in all my chars on all their shards and not get the gift. It has been going on for years and I have missed out on many, many gifts from holidays and Anniversaries. So I say enough, fix the code, please!!
While I'm on the soapbox...How about a great 15 year reward mount that says holy crap!!! you've paid for 15 years of UO?!!? *feels shafted on 14th year!

I thought we already established that these items are promotional items linked to a product, much like the bags stores give when you purchase something and just like those, you won't get a thing if you haven't purchased anything or purchased before the promotion. However, for the gift comparison, giving gifts to your loved ones and giving a pixel bag to your customers in an online game are also two different things, the very comparison is flawed from the beginning.Helping family and giving them gifts are 2 different things. Who are we to call if a player deserves a 15th anniversary commemoration item or not, or if the team owes one for years of loyalty and support? If these are gifts, does it mean that the accounts with more characters deserve more gifts?
So leave the terms "deserve" or "owe" out of this, nobody can call if a one month old account deserves more than another who was, up until lately, loyal and supported the game for 14 years. These are promo items, it has nothing to do with deserving, owing, especially have nothing to do with the family members.

I wouldn't invite someone I haven't seen in years to my anniversary party and tell them sorry since I haven't seen you in such a long time you don't get any cake LOL. just my opinion don't kill me
At some point, some of these people were a part of UO history and did help UO reach 15 years. Those of us paying for subs right now are a really small minority of the overall group of people who have played UO over the years, and those past players do deserve some of the credit for getting us here. Hold back the token and harpsichord since there are some really rare harpsichords, but if you're going to invite them back for the anniversary, give them some cakes, muffins, and hourglasses.

If you still have not received and the character is 30 days old and not from an RTB account, kill your character. I had a bugged character on Baja that wouldn't receive their bag. So I killed it with a bull. Logged out/back in when I was dead. Got the message "You cannot receive a gift when your dead". Went to Luna, got rezzed. Logged Out/Logged In - Tadaa!
