Still having looting rights issues

A friend of mine Sampire with vampiric embrace and life leech on weapon just had looting rights issues on Cora, he did about half damage I did the other half. I am on a warrior without vampiric without life leech and I got looting rights, he didnt. We broke party before she dies but still it looks like the sampire with life leech/vampiric embrace is causing the issue...
