Steward Error

I placed a steward at my new inn. He is meant to be behind the counter to greet visitors. However, I only seem to have 2 options for the context menu. Shouldn't there be more? Most notably, I cannot redeed him and he prevents further house customization. How do I fix this issue?

I fixed it. I was standing too far away. Fortunately I was able to redeed him through the wall. I had to put a teleport tile in there so I could get next to the Steward to dress him and put items in his pack.
