Status attack on miasma

I'm not a new player, but this seems like a rookie question so i'll post it here...

I was just fighting miasma for the first time, and he did some sort of status attack on my cu that turned his health bar yellow. I tried an nox on it, but it didn't do anything, and I couldnt cure him. What is this status ailment, and how do I treat it?

It's mortal strike. It'll wear off eventually, or you can use Chivalry's Remove Curse spell on it. Talisman of curse removal works as well, but has a cooldown.

I'm not sure on any other ways to remove it.
