Stat cap question.

First off my acct is now 127 months old, i believe its an original
. I came back to UO after about a 5 year break and have been spending my time downloading expansions, reading up on changes, yada yada, you get the idea.

I noticed I now had 7 character slots so made 2 new chars. The next time I logged them in it said you are now 6 months old would you like your stat cap raised by 5 to 230. I said sure. It did this for both new chars but my original 5 are still at 225. Shouldnt they get a boost to 230?

Ive sent in 2 GM tickets and the first one gave me instructions for billing and the second one said email [email protected] this looks like something a GM can fix (if in fact my theory is correct).

Any info on this?

Back when AOS came out, we were given reward choices of a skill gain, or max-stat boost. The smart ones worked the skill the hard way and took the stat boost. Later, the stat boost became a rallying cry for unbalanced templates so they offered it to every character over 6 months of age.

Log out and back in a few times and you should get the bonus on the two newer characters (it may not happen until after server maintenance time though so if it does not work, try again tomorrow).

I get a popup window on the old chars that asks me if i want +5 skill or +5 stat. (think it says "Buff me up now!") If I take the skill there to get that window to stop popping up will I then get the +5 stat window?

The 2 newest chars didnt get that AOS window with the stat or skill choice they got a little window that said your 6 months old do you want +5 stat.

To summarize....my 2 new chars got the 5 stat window and are stat capped at 230. The original 5 chars get the AOS window asking if i want skills or stats of 5 and they are capped at 225.

take the Stats offer ...+5 skills.. kinda a rip (to me) ... unless your catching a +5 to 120 taming, poisoning ... one or two others ...+skill is only a move to Finishing/reaching a cap ...(100, 110, 115, 120 ... dependent on scrolls eaten ... ??? know about scrolls? 5 years?)
Stats are forever ...

as far as I know ...one... not both ... maybe both ... take the better(stats) just in case
