With Guild Wars 2 being a true MMO coming out in 2012 and a "buy to play " model with no subscription fee, and dont have to buy items to compete I think its crazy to charge $15.00 a month.

Bioware charges a subscription fee on Ultima Online which is old and outdated. They raised the subscription fee a few years back promising better customer support which was a bold face lie. Warhammer Online support and content is down the drain and that $15.00 a month is sure not going back into the game.

Even with some of the recent changes in UO and new content doesn't make up for years of lack of doing nothing or very little. Customer support is a big thing to have and UO has none when you do call EA support. Most of the CS reps ( which I dont blame them ) dont know much about UO. Support pages are linked to DaoC or Warhammer.

The UO franchise producer Jeff baffles me quite a bit. You have to tweet him to get answers from him. He doesn't use stratics very much.

Bioware may add content later on in the SWTOR game but watch that support disapear like Warhammer and UO. Then decide if your $15.00 a month is worth paying for.

I agree with some of the posters in the first link that lesser subs means more players. The arguments like not being able to afford or how cheap $15.00 a month are out the window. The fact is EA has a track record to suck the money out fo players pocket and give very little back. So for $15.00 a month I better be able to get help, have issues taken care of in a timely manner, have excellent game play and new content, events and GM sevice in the game.

I would pay $20 or $25 a month if and only if I got quality service for a game that a company would reinvest that money back into to keep it going and deliver what they promise. So atm Arenanet offers me what I truly want for the price and they can justify it. They offer excellent in game service on top of it and better game content. Just buy the game and play it forever for free.

I hope EA will change their colors and do what they say with SWTOR but until EA/Bioware proves it I don't trust them at this time.

i don't think star wars will ever go f2p just because there are so many die hard star wars fans out there. even if anything they will lower the price of the $15 (which i hope they will, but i know they won't!)
