Dex is only meaningful in that it provides the basis for stamina, everything else, including swing speed and movement, is determined by stamina.

Pet stamina works just the same as player stamina, for purposes of determining base swing speed. Every 30 points of stamina (rounded down), the pet's swing delay will get shorter by 0.25 seconds (making it faster).

The key stamina values for swing speed are: 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, etc... The pet with 135 stamina will attack as fast as one with 120 stamina (or with 125 per your example).

if you bless it so it hits 150 sta though it could swing .25 faster. and if the pet gets cursed and drops below 120 its swing rate could drop .25. so theoretically the higher the sta the better, even if it doesn have a difference in swing rate between 135 and 120.

higher sta also increases following speed.. something essential in pvp, or just for your own sanity if you aren't in an area which allows petballs
