Stairs on back wall?

Can you not place stairs along a back wall of a house?

I don't remember ever having issues with it ...

I maybe I just have never tried until today heh

I have the floors above cleared to make room .. but doesn't seem to like the fact i have a wall on the second floor ...

Is this impossible, or am I doing something wrong?

Nevermind ....

ended up leveling the house and starting over .. placing stairs before the second floor ...

worked fine ...

not enough coffee i suppose ;-)
