Stacked objects changing positions

when stacking 2 different objects on top of each other they often shift—what’s on top slips down & vice versa. Is there a solution?

If they are on the same z-axis this happens. Easiest fix is to raise the one you want on top one more click. Otherwise I don't think there is a workaround.
