Stables and gold

Well, I have four tamers, and there's one thing that really annoys me. There are times that I need to change or stable pets quickly, but if I don't have enough loose gold, I need to run off to a bank, break a cheque, then get back to the stables before I can get back to what I was doing.

This constant need to have loose gold on my tamers is really annoying, because if I have to buy something, or I die a few times, I can't stable any pets until I go to a bank. By the time I do this, even in Luna, I may be too late to get back to what I was doing.

Essentially, why is it that we can buy stuff from cheques, but we can't stable pets from them? I don't know about others, but it would cause less irritation on my part.

P.S. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I'm tired... lol

I just got in to the habit of checking all my gold except for 60k... I hate all the gold piles

The thing is, I do that too, but then I find something I want, buy it, and forget to break another cheque, so when I need to stable my pets, I don't have the gold to

I think it would be really cool if we could sort or "tithe" gold, like a Paladin does, to the stablemaster. Sort of, prepay.

I always wished that back in the old days of UO, when player run towns were possible, that they had released hitching posts that were like vendors.

Its really sad sometimes when you consider the missed opportunities they had with this game.

the simple remedy is too just keep some gold on hand in your bank box. a couple of piles of 60k would take care of insurance and stabling i can't beleive you can't keep 30 gold for the stablemaster. get a house placement tool so you can keep a watch on your bank account.

While I do keep gold on hand in my bank box, I die enough when I'm taming that I usually don't have any left in piles, not to mention when you spend any gold, it takes from the piles first...

Yes, I can keep gold for the stablemaster, the thing is, I want to know WHY they won't take gold from cheques, why does it have to be from loose gold in the bank? Also, IMO, that comment came off a bit rude.

I HAVE a house placement tool, and it counts the gold that's in cheque form as well as gold piles... Besides, it's not how much gold I have in the bank that's the problem, it's as I said above, the fact that stablemasters refuse to take gold from a bank cheque.

here is how people who don't do silly things do it. They carry 100 gold on their character. Problem solved.

You could stable at Scara you can stable from the bank.
