Spring Cleaning - How many points do you have?

Its a bit of a no brainer question because the greifers of UO Land will just say higher higher numbers. Alas i am pretty sure most peeps with who did a little bit of work buying and speculating and the items to turn in ,will hit the millo point total, and most definate around the 1/2 millo mark.

Just over 300k. Only other points I'll be adding are from this pile of T-Maps that have been cluttering up my place.

HOW!?!?! I have been playing this game for 7 years now, and I have collected too much junk over the years and have been cleaning house and don't have anywhere near that many points. I will be lucky if I get what I want before they shut it down. Just goes to show how I'm always a day late and a dollar short.
Why griefers?
I turned in a few thousand items I had from collecting junk, and came down to somewhere between 7 and 10 million points. Not too sure since I didn't keep track of everything I sold. I am just a pack rat when it comes to items that might some day be rare.
I had saved around 300 cursed arties (1.5 million), 200 normal arties (2 million), fabled nets, rat coins and so on. Of course I speculated a little too and was sure to buy many level 11 artifacts prior to the turn in.

Im at 750,000 but Ive been selling all the points I get on my vendor for 60 gold per point.
Just enough to get what I was interested in from the lists.
Well the consideration for me was; I can sell the nets for 250k (I used them for deco in a house I was due to sell) or sell the 5k points for ~500k
. Fabled nets are worth more than special nets.
I have around 500k right now, and should have maybe 600k when I'm done the 90 SOS bottles I found in my house. They take time to do, but they are fun. Those of you who are worried about points, there are a few ways I've tried:
1. Ophidians
2. Fishing
3. Ingenious Maps from the Miasma's chests
4. The Minor Artifacts from the Ingenious Maps
5. The Vanguards
I think the Miasma and the Ophidians have been the best point per time spent ratio, but I did enjoy digging up the 40+ Ingenious Maps. Problem is for all that extra time, minor artifacts don't give that many points.
One word of advice: this Spring Points thing isn't a competition. Don't worry about the guy with a million points since it won't impact you. Have fun getting and spending your points, otherwise what's the point?

I had about 400 sos's. I've done over 200 of them so far and have made almost a million doing it. I haven't sold the gems yet tho I'm seeing how many I get after I fish them all up.
I hate getting the chest without getting any of the other stuff first like the pillows and stuff lol.

I turned in, "Almost" everything, and ended up with 400k points. I have about 150k known points that i will turn in later, "tokuno dyes" and such. If Moonstones are on the next list, then i just hit the jackpot, hehehe.
I too have been a packrat, for years, as much as my houses would hold anyway, lol. On Pac, I have about 3 million points (mostly cursed arties and 10th anny arties, several hundred of each) Origin, I had about 1 million points, and on Seige, only 100k.
I have also collected far to much stuff - over the shards more than 1000 T-Maps in the turn ins, on Siege many unsold stealables etc.
So on Drach and Siege I got about 700k points each, while on other shards I play regulary and have a house, about 100k points may be reached.
Never had much luck with arties and cursed arties anyway.

Actually 3 million sounds completely believable to me. I've gained almost 1.2 million points since I ran out of stuff to turn in just by killing the vangards (farming for a solid horse to tame).
I didn't farm a ton of cursed arties, which give a large payout and were very easy to get, so I could easily see how someone could have enough cursed arties to have 3 million or more points.
I basically used the points I got from stuff I had in my house to buy a suit of knight armor and a set of the jewlery. The rest of my points came from killing vangards. If you're on a server where you don't have much competition for vangards, you can get 200-300k points in one evening (assuming you can kill vangards)

3k left.. burned through 400-450k worth.. got my jewlery, earrings, t-shirts, and in the process of getting virtue tiles. Think i have 3 of those left to get.

i got a full Knights suit, Two Archery butts, Four Bamboo, Nest, Sash, Earrings, Boots, whats that 900,000+ pts
and no joke that was JUST FROM ME CLEANING MY 18x18's!!!
and I think I have 70,000 left over. So im doing Miasma and already got about 65 map today so thats another 65,000

I Probobly came up with 120k or so in points, Got what I wanted out of it, even gave away 20k in points(hooked a returning player up with a pair of boots) cuzz I dont need em and dont care to try and sell em. The Jewelry set would have been cool but i cant even begin to contemplate how im gonna come up with 300k in points and besides I dont have a mage tamer anyways

First go-round, I turned in about 600k points, plus someone gave me enough minor & cursed Arties to get me to 700k (so I could het a set of armor PLUS the earrings & boots I wanted).
This time, I've gotten about 350k points (and have been going to the dungeons a lot more to get the artifact drops there). I got the jewelry set, and am working up toward getting points for other things.
So, currently sitting at a little over 1 million points gained, with about 50k actually left in the "box" to redeem. And, I'm still finding redeemable stuff being left by people on the ground in Luna.

Sorry, but if it became easy for everyone, there would be a mad dash on vangards to the point where there wouldn't be any TO kill.
I seriously doubt I'm the only one who's able to take them down quickly and easily. There's more than one effective strategy for killing them. I know of at least 3 working strategies to take them down relativley quickly and alone. I use the one I use, because it's fun
I do, however, think vangards are the quickest way to get collection points if you have most of the vangard spawns mostly to yourself. I think this phase of the event was designed to encourage players to take down vangards AND to clean their houses out. Naturally, people only have a fixed amount of junk in their house and once that junk is all spent, the players must battle the vangards. I don't think it's possible to get 100k+ pts a day on any shard where there's a lot of competition over the vangards.
Most of my points so far have come from the event because I'm not a pack rat, so I didn't have a lot of trash to turn in.

Back when Vanguards spawn in greater number pulling 200-300k a day is not hard at all. But now it is 1 spawn per city every 2 hours so at max its 8 which translate to 40k every 2 hours if you get all of them. so they are no longer fast farming point wise but it is decent if you manage to check on them during spawn timers.

Yeah, I wanted the earrings (so I wouldn't need to worry about NS in my suits) and the boots (free 2% poison resist...every bit helps when you're building a suit). I didn't partipate in any event, I just went out and bought turnin items before they were announced and got lucky. I was buying junk rubble for 2,000 a piece and crap 110 scrolls for 1,000. 350,000ish left, spent 100,000 on a beehive, two Sherrys, and two pairs of earrings. I have about 150,000 points worth of items that I'd prefer not to turn in, but will if Stage 3 has great rewards. If I need more points I'll go fishing. It may not be the fastest way, but it's very relaxing.
