The new turn in rewards have been announced:
http://www.uoherald.com/news/news.php?newsid=350

A first stab at the vine cord sandals has been made:
<blockquote><hr>

Snake Skin Boots

· Random snake skin hue

· +2% Poison Resist

[/ QUOTE ]

Some items might be less good for the rares community:

<blockquote><hr>

Shirts

· Comes with one phrase of choice

· Blessed

· Dyable

RBG Sashes

· “Royal Britannia Guard”

· One color per Virtue/Town

· Blessed

[/ QUOTE ]

With the first I am unsure if it will say
'Shirt
Your text!'
Or just 'Your text!'

As for the second, it's also left somewhat in the middle whether this will concern the old Guard sashes. I hope not.

Good or bad?

Implying there will be more than one Turn-In Events?

And IMO, the Snake Skin Boots, will have no effect on Vine Cords, Poison isnt really a resist just a whole lot of ppl are eager to max out. and its only +2 any ways, it helps out newer player or players that can not afford such expensive things tho.

Just my 2 cents ne ways

Sucks i sold off all my orphi stuff etc tho =/

Personally... I think the best thing on that patch is...

"Commas can now be seen in checks (instead of 1000000, you will see 1,000,000)"

Though I'm sure I will find a use for the boots

Trey has a good point, I saw that too. Perhaps best not to throw everything into this first round

so I'm saving the actual list for the TC notes, but for example, Ophidian Rations are ten points, a Vanquishing weapon is 650 points, and a Berserker's Scythe is 7500 points, and so on. For rewards, you spend the points: a t-shirt is 1000, the earrings are 10k, etc.

[/ QUOTE ] (From Jeremy)

The rations aren't worth too much
.

+2% resist is important to any pro PvP suit.

Havent been in quite some time, but poison has never been a thing too many ppl were eager to max out, theres orange petals and several other methods of avoiding poison, fire, phy, energy etc are much more important.

Never said its not something thats needed, was just saying that +2 poison resist on some boots isnt going to affect the price of Vine Cords which was implied

Aye very tru but +2 poison isnt very important Vrs the +4 to each you get from vine cords. hehe

and im only saying this from your previous statement

was merely trying to say that i dont think these new boots are going to affect VC's at all, that its not really a stab at them

No, you are mistaken. Poison is quite important because it is one of the resists that goes down when you are corpse skinned. One of the attribute that is required in a good PvP suit is being corpse skin immune - in other words having more than max fire and poison resist. Otherwise, poison strike can hurt quite a bit and there are many necros out there who will definitely spam it if they figure out you have low poison.

Having said that they do not come anywhere near VC in terms of usefulness in PvP. However, I would personally rather have snake skin boots than duped VC. I believe it will adversely affect the price of the int boots, especially since they are duped.

More importantly, Snake skin boots could open gates to more resist based footwear items in future. I would not be surprised if we see more activity in that slot.

Aye, Your right.

I was meaning those Boots Vrs VC's in terms of usefulness and effecting the price of VC's.

and I dont see it effecting the price on any of the INT boots etc because i know of alot of ppl who would much rather have mods than resists OR already have all the resists they need and need more mods hehe

I dont see these new boots effecting prices of any event items.

I never meant that Vine Cord would drop due to this, I meant what Tomas says here.
It's a first stab. I expect more in the future.

These boots, regardless of value in comparison to vinecords will still be nice to have.

Aye I would say so.....the best things out of that are probably the boots and the earrings.

I know ill be getting a pair of those earrings for all my chars prolly hehe

I didn't even notice the earrings. Night sight will be awesome to have cause I know my one dexxer has night sight on an armor piece just for the night sight. That one item will change around my suits, lol.

Exactly! lol its like, you either waste an armor piece on NS (cuz you cant hardly find good ar pieces With NS) or you just use the NS spell....and theres not really any earrings with mods lol so those are a huge plus really

anyone feel like explaining how you obtain these "turn in items"

I've been out of the loop for years and now have a bit of time on my hands so I may give obtaining some of these a shot. I remember the last clean up brit event and just can imagine if item bless deeds were worth so much then what some of these may be worth.

You can go to moonglow and go through the dark gate near the Inn and kill things. Loot the bodies and you can get the plain swords and the plain sheilds.
Also more berzerker scythes from berzerker demons.
Still plenty of time to get crap since they aren't going to be putting the publish in until next week.

Hi,

you can get the swords and shields only from angels and berserkers, right?

I managed to get a pixie swatter so maybe I can kill the angels with that.
That would be a great change, currently both berserkers and angels kick my butt real hard.

It would be funny though, somewhere down the road, if all those Vine Cord owners logged in one day to find their sandals were all now Snake Skin Boots.....

After all, they replaced the dupe robes with an item.....

Are berserkers in the rift dropping the scythes? I don't recall getting any.

I wonder if this will completely destroy the current quest shirts, and make up for a whole new world of 'this is a quest item!' scams... Fortunately there aren't too many.

There goes the EU gold colour sashes.

well at least the sash titles are shortened.. dissapointing to see reused hues. looks a lot like bs imo but oh well.

the shirt phrases are kinda cool, but I was hoping they would have the option to use a players name within the phrase like the AOS ones. Thats a down side too. Oh well.
