As would be expected, the closed-beta testers had knowledge for months of things that would help them in the game. Let's reveal some of these now in an attempt to "even the playing field"...

- Scroll Binders: those +5, +10, and +15 skill scrolls that people often just drop at the bank? Yea, they are totally awesome now. Get enough of them (think it is 10 for each level) and you upgrade to the next! I've been hordeing them since I heard about them, cleaning out vendors that sell some as low as 500gp each. I have never had a +20 magery scroll. I will now.

- Rare Gems: wonder why they've been kinda hard to find? yea, that's the beta testers buying them up by the boatload because they are needed for imbuing... same with peerless ingrediants. Start mining! or buy what you can.

- ToT Minors: don't turn em in! Most of them can be unraveled for a Relic Fragment. It's much better to unravel 100 minors than 10 majors.

- Granite: you are gonna need a lot of it for gargoyle armor/weapons.

- Staining: those decorative plants of all sorts of colors that people throw away at the bank or sell for pennies? They are used in the new staining system, which allows you to make dyes from plant clippings. Horde those colorful plants! You can dye all sorts of things, even artifacts. Sell your ToT dyes now if you have a ton, while some of their colors are still unique, you can get pretty close with the new system.

-Soulstone Fragments: you can now craft one-charge soulstone fragments, so the value of the 5-charge ones could be effected.

I'll post more later...

Peerless ingredients were removed from Imbuing last I knew, the "rare item" needed are either mining gems, Lumberjacking material, or White Pearls in addition to the stardard gems and fragments.

This is correct. Posted a link in another thread that takes you to the current list of imbuing resources.

Honestly, given that the craftables are single charge, and require a drop, I don't suspect that convenience or value of the 5-charge ones will change significantly. Rather, I expect that the components for the single-charge ones will go up.

In either case, there's not going to be a huge influx beyond the initial "Wow, we can craft these" period, IMHO.

Could you explain the power scroll thing a little better please?
Scribes can create a "scroll binder" which can be used to merge several 105 powerscrolls of the same type into a 110, a number of 110s into a 115 and a number of 115s into a 120.

Maybe I am missing something but I dont see this as a good thing (other than for the people who can get the scrolls from champion spawns). Wont this wipe out the reasonably priced +10 and +15 scroll market. New people are mostly the only ones who use +10's and they depend on either finding them on vendors at a reasonable price or through donations. Someone already said they have been hoarding the lesser scrolls.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

bear in mind that, at current time, a lot of +10s and almost all +5s are left on the ground at the champ spot on many shards.

Well I guess that wont be happening anymore! :) But even with people leaving scrolls in the dungeons there always seemed to be an adequate supply available of lesser scrolls (except for when things like spring cleanup emptied the vendors and drove the prices up).

That is the way I see it playing out, instead of finding the lesser scrolls on the floors of dungeons/banks etc they will be kept by the spawners and dumped into scroll binders til they can produce a 120.

Gone will be the day that it is cheap (or free) for a new player to get a 105 or 110 to actually be able to raise their skill above GM level until they can 'afford' a 120 scroll. Granted the overall cost of 120's should come down in the long run, will have to wait and see.

Miss Echo had one up for a while and I think you can only walk around it and not on/through it and I think (could be wrong on this) that only two sides of it were functional. It also ONLY functioned as a soulforge.

More people need to make them and provide feedback. I honestly don't know why you'd put one in your house if you get a bonus using the Queen's forge, unless perhaps your artificer is red and can't get there or belongs to a guild full of untrustworthy souls.

They work all round now from what I have tested.

The reason you would have one in your house would be if you were doing a LOT of imbuing. Having to drag the resources to and from a queen's forge would get really old really quick and using the queens forge is only 'really' an advantage when imbuing the 5th mod.

If one uses the powders of fortification on the item before imbuing, does that disable the item from being able to imbued?

I'd put one in my house for unraveling purposes. Where I'd fit that monstrosity I have no idea, but that's what I'd use it for.

Unravelling and, as Echo suggests, for the first 3-4 mods. If you are imbuing several pieces to be parts of a suit, it is FAR more convenient to do the bulk of your work at home with a container of ingredients at your feet so you can select them as you go, rather than trying to figure out how many of each one you need to take to the public forge.
