I am suprised you're having a hard time finding an empty magery spell book. There are many vendors in Luna with them. Check the NW corner in Luna, inside edge @ Rahl Mall (vendors all look like they are on grass, will be the vendor on top in a White top, green ring legs), I have a vendor there with numerous ones on it, some slayers, some with 2 & 3 mods. Pick yer poison on what what ya need or fits what you might be fighting.
