Spellweaving Circle Chat Channel Suggestion

Seems people are often looking for a spellweaving focus, but general chat tends to have a err... high noise to signal ratio, so to speak, and I tend to leave it a lot which means I may miss requests for foci.

I have started hanging out in a channel someone suggested and made called "Looking for Focus". I am usually around for a couple of hours every evening at prime time and don't mind hanging out in it whenever I am online.

Is this a good idea? Would spellweavers like a channel they can visit to find other spellweavers? Would it be used? I don't mind taking a timeout most of the time from whatever I am doing to do a focus (unless I'm on a big alliance hunt that needs my attention 100%).

Lemme know if the idea sucks or not! =P

I don't have a spellweaver but I know many players use the West Brit Bank one because it gives..umm that thing...the highest umm....little crystal focus thing? Might be a good place to start.

I've just now realized that this post doesn't look very encouraging but the Cat's Lair Tavern is right next to it, you could setup a mini pub event.

Well, you have the issue of people actually using the channel too. General seems to get the most views.

I hate cell phone internet connections...Cat's Lair Tavern is right next to it, you could setup a mini pub event. People come to check in along with the on going chat channel, before you know it people will find others on at the same time and meet up regularly. Not saying the Chat Channel wouldn't be just fine on its own but people engage more character to character on top of that.

Like I can always dodge Geo or WildStar or Gunga in chat but when they show up at my UO house...its all over. Back on track...sometimes players dont event know what chat channel they are in, especially after EM events. So people meeting up at a certain time on top of that will benefit what you are trying to do.

perhaps a quiet secluded public chat for ELVES only, might be a good thing. hehe

WHY oh why the gods that be made it so ya need 6 elfy ones to do that magical wonder is beyond human comprehension, when in reality one would think any arcane circle made by gm carpenters publically sitting on their public human patios, could have also been useful for elfy ones to do their magical spellweaving thingie, or ANY arcane circles anywhere, and why the gods made it so ya HAVE TO HAVE 6 is beyond mere humans' comprehension.

The gods shoulda made it easier for elfy ones to do their thing without any one or 2 specific magic circle only to be useful for em, and not needing to have to have 6 of ya to do it ...but whatever ! hrmm gods never think of how sometimes hard it may be to GET 6 elfy ones qualified, to do their thing !!
