You can do the summon fiend quest while red. They're just imps instead of pixies.

Pixies are stronger in PvP than imps. I went blue on two different characters just so I could do the summon fey quest on them. I do the summon fey quest on all of my characters now so I don't have to go through that again if a template change ever calls for spell weaving. My main red uses pixies because I am a newb and its the only way I get kills. They can be very effective even though there are several defenses against them.

It is annoying reds can't do the quest but there are several annoyances to being red. There have been several threads where it turns into "You turned red you deal with the consequences" arguments.

If I had to pick between being able to use virtues or being able to do summon fey as a red I'd pick getting virtues. My red dexxer would love to honor, self rez with sacrifice would be nice AND who better to protect (justice virtue) a spawn than a Red?

Some people simply have characters that are red. This doesn't mean they really play a red. Most get red from killing alts on another account or get into groups and zerg. Not exactly a standard murderer activity.

Why would anyone go red on alts? It's so easy to kill a measly 5 people and get counted..

Mine too, its not hard when your protecting Primevil Lich spawn in the Abyss from a bunch of blue PK's.
