Its been a good while and was wondering about spell book properties and the scribes magery skill. From what I remember a scribes magery effects the number of properties on a spell book he creates. Is that still true and does it matter if its real skill or would skill bonus items work just as well?

The scribe's Magery still has the same effect as it did before. You can use items to boost your skill. It does not rely on "real" skill only.

If you want to make modded necro or mysticism books you need the skill and same rules apply.. so best chance to get a 3 mod necro book for example would come from a 120 necro scribe.

Thanks for the input guys. Im mostly looking to make slayers with 1/2 and if I come across enough mats a set of slayer scrappers. Its been a while and last time I gave up thinking I needed real skill and didnt want to either buy another soulstone and another 120 mage scroll or mess up my current template on my main mage. Either choice was expensive so I ended up selling blank scrolls in a vendor for a while.

Now Im thinking of trying it again with the "same jewled up" template only swaping in the scribery as needed. Seems a positive response here that it will work!

Yea!
