Spell animation question

Back in the good old 3D Holy Light had a great animation. Now in EC it barely does anything. Like a blue squiggle near my head - in a good fight I can't even see it. Is it the same in 2D now?

Heck, Night Sight has a huge blast of light animation.

Is this just the way it has been? If so I will have to find how to get on the Ask a Dev forum.

One of the biggest thing they used to show off on the old KR client demos was the holy light effect. Was a cool effect. Then they got rid of it.
Sure wish they would work on adding/fixing the special effects of spells and such.
To their credit, they did go back and work on some.
More please.
