This is something that I think people should look into... The reason nobody goes to Fel to PVP is simply because the "speed hacks" people use to gain an unfair advantage... This thing caused me to close down 7 accounts late last year, and a ton of other people did as well... 7 accounts on a game that is REALLY needing people??? All because the Game masters are too lazy to not give an automated response.. I am sick of this... The GM's don't care... I hate paging on someone and staying with them only to get a message telling me that I paged in the wrong place... FK that!!! It all goes to the same place... GM's are SERIOUSLY not doing their jobs.. If something is not done about these "speedhackers" (while I get a mark on my new account for beating on a golem when I took a shower) I am gonna do my best to boycott Felluca. And you think one person can't do it? Your wrong... that one person is me.

So this may not get to anyone who can do something about it, but you never know. Pvpers are the backbone of the Ultima community. And if people start leaving Fel because the game is just not fair... then there goes it all to hell!

seriously, i play with kr, i can run pretty fast.. faster then alot of people.. but..

when i dismount someone, and then they run away while im on mount, at the same time casting mage spells without stopping, and doing it from off the screen.. some kind of hack is going on..

I am never one to yell hack, because in the old days this kind of thing was taken care of. Chessy early AOS a few players were banned that ran the DP mage/holy light spam char and could kill almost instantly with it. Now I see people warp around and nothing is ever done.

I've given up on getting upset about this issue. I also have given up on Felucca completely. I'm pretty experienced in PvP and very well equipped, but Felucca PvP ist the deepest and dirtiest pool of mud I have ever seen. People do not only use speed hacks, they use a lot of rule bending and dirty tricks to get an unfair advantage, which just takes the fun and the challenge out of Felucca. Let them have their fun, but without me.

On the day where the Devs will force me to go to Felucca in order to get the items I need, I will quit UO.

See, it's stuff like this that I hate hearing... The rules in UO state... that your not allowed to use any type of cheat or bug in ANY way... Players that do this may result in account deletion... If enough people talk about this and complain about it, then OSI will have to take a look, and they can start with the Malicious Intent on pac... (|M|)

Fel needs fixed. Its totally f*cked up.
Cheating through hacks and exploits is rampant. Its so bad that its not worth the average player bothering to visit.

Its a sorry state of affairs.

you had 7 accounts for PvP ? thats -uhm - insane !!

anyway, i have to support the KR statements. i am on KR only and able to outrun almost everybody using the old 2d client. very useful and fast-as-lightning macros for switching weapons, dressing up, remounting, drinking pots, applying bandages - name it, it is possible. with a single keystroke (-combination) or mouseclick.
at the end of the day, if someone sucks in PvP, like i do, it still doesnt help, except in outrunning the peeps and getting away

Do a search on the forums. There's nothing original about this thread. What are you adding to the community? Nothing. You're wasting our time and yours.

Mythic, understandably, can't go near a topic that is itself entangled with EA's policies. Mythic employees read and post on these forums regularly. Posts like this go unanswered for a reason. Policies concerning cheaters and exploiters aren't Mythic's policies, they are the publisher's policies, EA's policies.

EA is hard for anyone to communicate with. If Mythic could go after cheaters and exploiters directly, then they would. If they were allowed to discuss these problems openly with the community, then they would. If you think that you have your hands tied in Felucca as a player, then you probably can't imagine working in Felucca as a member of the development team. You have it good.

Do you have any idea how many years we have been complaining? Forgot it. Ive given up trying to change things and just play whats left of the game.

OSI was closed in 2004. It's likely that they won't take a look.
