Special ability for a drake?

Is there a trick to getting a special ability on a drake?
I tried adding Poisoning for magic, but it did not bring on an option to add Venomous Bite.
Now I am sad.

Most drakes already have a special ability in dragon breath.
Would have to find a drake without a starting special ability in order to add one, like the Frost Drake.

You will be limitted to level 3 poisoning on a drake, only pets starting with innate skill get level 4 (dread spider, naja, rune beetle). Just FYI ...
