Meraktus the Tormented Minotaur is the so called Champion of the Labyrinth. Her existence was shrouded in mystery - At first there was no idea she existed until her named appeared on some Talismans as a slayer property. At some point a group of adventuring players were killing Minotaurs at the end of the Labyrinth and discovered the spawn.
High chance first time round we are going to get slaughtered much like ANYONE does the first time round till the know how it works.
SO as a heads up.
After killing several Minotaurs there is a yelling "I see invaders! Must warn the others!" After some more killing you start seeing shouting from Minotaur Captains, "Aid the others! Kill the invaders!" After a lot more killing (much more than the first two levels), Meraktus spawns with four Tormented Minotaurs in the large building on the top floor.
Both Meraktus and her escort have a "ground stomp" attack which deals area effect damage dependent on how close you are. Even while wearing a suit offering the maximum possible resistances, you should still expect 20-90+ damage. Melee attacks are not recommended.
In fact the battle is officially classed as a Champion Spawn, however there is no alter and no gold drops at the end. Furthermore, the progressive "levels" of the spawn are all exactly the same - there is no variation in the type, strength or numbers of creatures that appear throughout.
Resistances Phys 67 - 90 Fire 65 - 70 cold 54 - 57 Poison 41 - 58 Energy 50 - 52

Run down...
There is no altar, you just clear lots of spawn for about an hour. There are 3 "Levels", no change in spawn. Just different commands spammed.
1."Scouts sense enemies, must warn the others".
2. "Captains bark orders to Scouts to kill enemies"
3. "Meraktus has arrived!".
He brings with him a spawn of Tormented Minotaurs, which are hell, they have an AoE attack that knocks you off your mount, and does 90 damage, so you have to heal up very fast. The trick is, to split them up, and try take 1 Tormented at a time, until just the boss left, he is nothing special in comparison, just more of the same.
Anyone that can attack from a distance seems the best bet to keep away from the ground stomp. And alot of X-healing by anyone with magery on people & pets.
