Soulstone N00b

I've never used a soulstone before but I've just aquired one. Because I don't want to do anything stupid with it my first time out I figured I ask here beforehand. If I take a character's GM Mining and put it on a stone so I can transfer it to a character who already has (let's say) 70 Mining and who is maxed out his 720 available skill points, do I only need 30 other skill points turned down to pull the GM Mining from the stone onto this character? If this isn't clear I think I can explain better. Thanks!

All the skill from the soulstone will go to the new character. It will replace the 70 mining with the GM one. So yes it will take 30 skill what is turned down to make room for it.

Just remember that once you put mining on the character with 70 skill if you want to move it back to the original character that 70 skill points will basicly be gone.

Right, gone one char with GM Mining, one char with 70 Mining. Left with just one char with GM Mining... That's ok. I think I only need one Miner and 70 is a pretty easy left to build up to so I'm not losing too much. Thanks for the answers!

I read the soulstone FAQ but I was unsure about replacing and existing skill at one level with the exact same skill at a different (better) level.
