Sorting old Runes

So last week I decided to commit to Siege full time, banked all my gear on LS, and transferred Siege home to main account.

Rebuilding my character, I finally worked magic up to where I can cast gate. I had 6 full rune books of random places with poor descriptions marked long ago, so one by one I tried to go to each and see what trouble I could get in. It was pretty fun not knowing what you might walk into on the other side.

A few were just cities, a few were locations of old friends homes, and some were vendors I would frequent but no longer exist. One or two put me in the middle of heavy spawn, but my spirit's cohesion recovered fast enough to avoid any dire consequence.

Apparently, gate travel to the Lost Lands was disabled during my break as those no longer worked. Most of the old T-Map runes to various islands worked except one, but it is possible the run was labeled incorrectly. At one time gate to Ilshenar must also have been possible, but not any longer.

I do have two runes that when used consistently say something like "A greater power has relocated you to a safer location" but no gate is opened. Does this mean anything special or should I just erase them as non-working?

Thanks in advance.

It means there is something at that spot, usually a house, which blocks the gate from forming. If the coordinates are given in the runebook, you could always hoof it there out of curiosity. It does not mean anything special.

Hello,
before placing a house, I usually mark in the middle of where the house is going to be. My goal is to get a rune that redirects my gate everytime. Unlike a normal rune, the redirect one doesn't get blocked by animals.
