Ultima holds so many fond memories to me. I started this game when i was 21, now im 30 with 2 kids. When my g'friend(who later became my wife) bought this game for me, i was so excited about renaissance(1rst exspantion uo produced) I had never owned a game that worked off the internet. The thought of working with other ppl online the strategies etc. was just mind blowing. I started something long ago that wont quit til this day. I played for 5 years straight (every day that would allow it) sacrificing sleep and whatever until we had our 2nd child and things became so much more complex.
Around 05 or so i sold my account (which someone with llts still plays on today..Characters, Falcon nox mage/Draken Tamer/Buckshot Warrior/Lilly Mule) I havent been back to uo since. I was a member of many guilds but ones worth remembering were SET, t4h, and DEI. I made a run with World of warcraft for a while and enjoyed alot of it...Its really a beautiful game but something was amiss there..The heart that i found in uo. I love its freakin 2d and every other thing in it. No game is perfect but damn if they dint get this one almost there. The sweet crack richard garret brewed years ago is priceless. I cant wait to be back and when i get there i hope a few old friends will be there waiting to embrace me.. Now if i can get windows VISTA to freakin cooperate! I hate this SH@*
