How about getting some new atributes on our weapons?

Hit death, if hit you lose extra hit points

Diminish Mana, if hit you lose mana

Diminish Stamina, if hit you lose stamina

Hit lower damage, if hit your base damage is lowered

Hit Slow, if hit your swing speed is lowered or attack rate

Remove Resis, if hit a random resis, like physical or poison is dropped

Blind, if hit you are blinded and miss and take more hits

Just a few, i'm sure there are alot more that could be added.

Yes, but if you notice my example is showing what the opposites would do. This would make it very easy to program and engineer and the balance would remain exactly the same because you are doing the reverse. Kind of like a parallel universe that is reflected through a mirror.

I just thought that it was interesting that they had not been put in the game sooner.

id like to see some other weapon mods besides offensive

some of the things in imbuing like adding skill to a wep
put HCI back on a sheild
the old weapons with hit effects charges(clumsiness,teleport)
why not have these charges put back on through imbuing?,certainly would sink some ingredients quicker.
and for effects we could look outside magery spells as well:
a dagger with poison strike?
a radiant scimitar with hailstorm?
obviously they would be weaker versions of the actual spell

Yeah it seems ashame they don't already use what they have. I mean if somebody wants to put something on their weapon because they think it would be more fun for them or benefit their template, I don't understand why they would try to prevent it. If it was me, I would just throw everything in their that would work.

I mean, when you put something on, your using a space and your using weight. The rest should be up to the player. The other interesting ones strength, intel, and dexterity. So, I guess you would find pieces of loot with minus, I forget what it was but would be nice to add to the loot for some interesting pieces.

Imagine all the artifacts that could be created using the new mods. They could revive Doom and all the old ML and even add some into the dungeons.

EDIT: Okay I need to brush up on my reading comprehension skills.

I reread and I see I got it backwards. If you hit someone with a "mana diminish" stoke they lose the mana, not the wielder of said sword.

six of one, half dozen of another but it has possible potential :)

Yeah, it's like Good Vs. Evil. The good guy when he hits you with life leech, actually gets life but the evil guy, he just destroys the life and when he hits you with hit death, he just does more damage to you.

Those were actually supposed to be the messages that you receive when getting hit. So, if you got hit with hit death, you would see the message, "You take extra damage" but when I wrote it out like that it seemed confusing.

Just like you could put resistances on a weapon, you could hit somebody and they could lose resistance. Just seems to make sense to be able to do the opposite but it seems alittle more evil to me to rather than gain, you actually just destroy or remove.

okay, I am open to new ideas but have you tried all the new mods we got with the Stygian Abyss expansion? I realize that you can not imbue all of them but we built suit that way before.

Hit Death... sounds like concussion blow,AI,Double Strike,or a hit spell etc...

Diminish Mana/Stamina is on a weapon it's called Mana Drain and Fatigue... Gargoyle weapons only or cast mana vampire :/ and Mace type weapons attack players stamina already.

Hit Lower Damage is the Feint special move.

Hit Slow is a spellweaving spell called Essence of Wind.

Remove Resists is Corpse skin, Curse,Beetle Armor Corrosion, Hit Curse (gargoyle weapons only)

Blind is Hit Lower Defense you get hit 25% more Hit Lower attack you hit 25% less...

I second this! It's BULL$#@! that archers can get up to 25 HCI/DCI on there weapons to make up for not being able to wear a shield and getting that bonus HCI/DCI, but melee characters get the bonus HCI on a shield taken away? That's crap.

I would love to have this type weapon.Imagine what it would do to a mage(or any caster) in pvp.

right... But I think those would fall under like a hit spell type mod. In which case you can only have one mod per weapon.
