Ok I lied. But it's something...unusual. Bags of flour stack now. So you can buy 10 bags and they come in a nice little stack of 10. But if you go to make something "You don't have the components needed to make that." So you have to double click the flour to turn it into an open bag. That's not the inter- err, unusual part though. If you double click a flour bag that is part of a stack you'll get 15 uses out of it. If it's by its self you'll get 20.

I noticed this when I bought three bags of flour and stuck 60 tribal berries in my bag and only ended up with 50 paint, 10 extra berries and no flour. At GM with a tally that gets me to 100% success it had a me a little confused till I did some testing. Weird, eh?

I'd noticed a slightly similar thing when using 'make maximum' for my crafters, often I seem to start with a tool that has say 50 uses, and make a maximum of 49 items with it..... Sometimes, I suspect UO can't count .

I've got to ask, what do you need 50 Tribal Paint for? (Please don't say painting your tribe.)

I presume someone is stocking a vendor or gathering materials for a guild run or converting everyone in Skara to Tribalism.

Vendor stocking! I make a bunch at a time then put 3 out each time I restock. And people buy them. It's kind of annoying to farm the berries, but I got lucky at an idoc a few months ago and got bunches of berries that should last me a while. :)

This is an artifact of the way they handled a worn out tool. The tool makes all the maximum count items, but for the last one that wears out the tool the completed count isn't updated in the crafting menu. Basically, the tool wears out prior to the display update. Really they should just close the crafting menu on the last item since they aren't worried about updating the display. I get confused sometimes since the tool wears out and I look around to see why the machine stopped working and either fix the tool gear or add more ingredients to the machine.

You actually get the correct number of items completed though.

I can't speak for everyone else, but my tamer slathers himself in the stuff regularly to tame ridgebacks in the savage camp without worrying about getting attacked.

You have to remove each flour sack from the stack and double-click them individually to get the maximum amount of uses from them. Clumsy, yes.
