Heres just one of the many examples of graphic(and not so graphic) errors that uo 2d client is suffering from.

it's not a client fault... the items has 2 different z level like when you break a deed item with gozas ;)

like the normal little snakes that now hover over the ground and cast shadows

Unless it's shard specific then it IS a client issue as I'm looking at the same tent on LS in the EC and the beds are fine.

A friend was able to break one of these like that.. It's shard related as I was in EC, he was in 2d. He simply killed a cow near one and it dropped down (the cow and the table!).

This is not a client problem, it is a server problem. It has been around forever and is unlikely to be fixed. A gamemaster could repair it, but considering there is only 1 on duty they don't have the time.

But what exactly have the gypsies been doing to break their beds like that?

I think it's an ages old problem that they know about, and have tried to fix many times, but never stays fixed. Same thing used to happen to some NPC house signs, and other things that "float" on the z axis.
