Somebodys stolen all my champagne!!!!

I have just noticed that all my Champagne has been appropriated by persons unknown.

Both colours of the old gift champers have now become 'blessed' bottles.

Does this mean that we must write off these now unobtainable items in the same way as our busts of Finnegan which now believe that they are 'Ask and Be Answered' balls.

I do love the way we get things which aint broke repaired and those which are broke aint.

It seems to be a known issue, I don't know how many people are actually sending it a bug report though.

Make sure you keep anything like that, since they probably will try to fix it. (and bop friends and family on the head so they don't throw away your "a bottles".)

Going to check my bottle of Hureck's House Ale. Not one for the quiting but some screw up with items like a set of pheonix armor would be the last straw for the last few accounts active.

Once you've PVPed for years and become a PVM god collecting is the last hurdle to trying to "win UO" lol. Just need more of theese dark side of the RNG items as boss drops. Need to see more of the I've killed 100s and still no shinies threads. The tattered painting to steal was nice but tied to a time table was a real asshat plan. Some of the extreem and even new once a year stealables just need to be hand placed anyplace in the world.

Went on and checked. My Hureck's House Ale is a bottle, Fing Sweet. This was a rare item from the very first game events of tavern drinking gatherings and contest. Stratics describes the ale but don't even have a pic of one. Sure a screw up like this will be another sorry for your loss PLZ keep paying your monthly. Well off to work to have a long pissy day. Maybe someone will come along and kick me in the ass just for the effort.

This has nothing to do with the code. This is what happens when the people who have been working on something for years are fired or, if they are good, get moved to move important projects.

Maybe if we are lucky Mark will jump in here and ask if we are sure we didn't buy them from an inkeeper and then never come back when we give him questions that aren't easy to answer.

Maybe ALL "a bottle"(s) can all be remade into Mesanna's Vintage Wine that is 5-10 neon colors in one and that shoots out lightning bolts when drank. Then we can all run around like 14 year olds trying to sell our Mesanna's Vintage Wine for 2-3 bil each. I mean they are "rare" and they'd be 10 neon colors and have Mesanna's name and shoot lightning bolts thats a few billion per wine which isn't much according to some some "rares" collecting forum posters. So easy MONEY for all a brilliant FIX!!!

Talking of childish. After you have been on the planet longer you may understand that rare goes hand in hand with having history. This one screw up is a sign of other possiblities of their short sightedness. The next hit could be nothing in the game at server up has more then 3 mods. At least that would warrent a revert. Tallismen used to spawn with no mods. What every one of them reverted to a blank slate.

Seeing nothing has been done or mentioned to this point means nothing will. Messing with collectables is messing with the vet players that is UO. Try making Pheonix Armor revert to basic form and see what happens.

That makes me one the 5-10 and the Hureck's House Ale was far more rare. Pretty sure I had the only one not on a 12 year inactive account. Like the Ilsh Tmaps. Had two those revert already. All part of game history. The bad with the good I guess.

This bottle mishap could of easiely been the robe or cloak. Right down to the reward ones. Everyone needs a blessed normal cloak or robe. How about them twiddling with the apron. It will all fall under they are EA's Pixels and not ours and some idiot got a paycheck from our monthly dues.

With the fail on the bane being a fill for those without dreads. How many would like to find their dread replaced with some tan nag. Just because some code mage used the "digital casting for dummies" manual.

A lot of these are not as much rares but history. Gifts and such from years back. Things like this can happen but they need to be fixed and names reverted to what they should be. History is a huge part of UO.

No acknowledgement about these items being lost kinda makes you think that nobody has any idea what they have done and also even less of an idea of how to fix it.

As has been said some of these were old gifts and part of UO history to simply ignore the loss demonstrates the ostrich mentality of those concerned.

Also makes me wonder why the hell I persevere. I have a feeling that this arrogant attitude to paying customers will eventually turn even me away.

Ya I agree. If we all are going to be forced to play like short timers the end is near. Short timers are those that are out for the latest and greatest suit and maybe crafted deco for their house. They pile on the gold that they have yet put in the graphics for a player to roll in it. The game gets stale and they quit, come back, quit ,come back, and so on.

This IMO is huge and a sign of the times noone whats to read into. There is no way for them to fix the problem without a revert. Been so long now just going to have to kiss those rares goodbye.

I've posted this before but I'll say it again: This has happened before. These items still remember their name, they just don't display it properly because prior to Age of Shadows liquor/wine/ale bottles were displayed like this:

"A Full Bottle of Wine"

"A Full Bottle of Special Serpent Cross Tavern Anniversary Vintage"

"A Full Bottle of Pink Champagne"

Et Cetera.

When AoS hit, it took the "fullness" of the bottles and made it a subtitled property:

A Bottle Of Wine

Full

Et Cetera.

Long story short, all the pink champagne knows its pink champagne, all the seer wines know what their names are. There just needs to be a localization patch for them to display it properly again. The last time it happened (2002ish), my bottle of SCT Wine was displayed improperly for months until the next publish came in.
