some questions for Mac users

Hi. I am a returning player who recently got a Mac which will become my only machine in the near future... I have read a few threads from over the years regarding playing ultima online on a Mac and I'm hoping that people who currently play on a Mac or recall workable models for doing this will share their expertise here.

I have heard of boot camp. Also, I've heard of VMware fusion and parallels. Also crossover and playonmac. My question is, which do you use and why?

I am leaning on using crossover.... and anyone with particular (and current) experience is appreciated to chime in. I would also like to know if UOAssist can be used with crossover (and also the other methods).

So if you know a thing or two in regards to this - or if you know someone who does and can direct them here - please do share. Thanks

I use Wine to play on Mac OS (classic client), with Wine Bottler it works seamlessly, click the UO icon on my dock and it loads in a window like a native program. I'd say it took a mild to moderate amount of effort to get it running. I used Crossover and it was even easier but when the free trial was up I went looking for a free alternative. I don't use UOA but I've heard getting it running with Wine is problematic.
