ok this is the deal folks...

i have been stealing from stuff in fel dungeons for the rare items and have gotten all of em except the gem. funny thing is i have gotten a weird message about 8 or 10 times which says, "you would not be able to carry that" or something similar. my char's carrying capacity sits at 108/460 almost all the time cuz i use a BoS soon as i snag a goody, so my weight isnt the issue. surely nothing weighs 352 stones anyway aye?

has anyone experienced this? i'm not sure if its some sort of bug with the gems or if its got nothing to do with the gems at all and i have just been unlucky in that dept. maybe its some kind of bug with stealing in general?
i'm associating the 'overweight' (i guess it is) message with the gems since i have yet to get one and i have a lil over 20 of the other 8 possible rares.

kinda at my wits end over this one. anyone got any ideas?

I have got everything but the balm of wisdom. Can't seem to get it. And I have also received the message that couldn't carry it. I just move on to the next monster when I get it. Not sure if it's a bug or if it's supposed to do that.:confused:

In my opinion, this is certainly not a bug.... Sometimes, a monster will carry a body part. Now, You know those body parts are well over 10 stone. There is no way after doing a random check, (which is what happens when you RANDOM steal from a monster, person, etc ... ) that you would be able to take this item, hence the reply you are getting....

Stealing from a monster in this manner gives many other things, gold, scrolls, gems, rather than just the goodies everyone is trying for...

Patience, it should be a virtue......

Good point. It could be a message when you are targetting an item that is too heavy for you to steal. The fact you can't snoop to target a specific item, kinda sticks since there is no way to check this, unless you are also killing the monsters you are trying to steal from...la

guess i've just been a lil unlucky with the gems.
i hear they are bugged anyway so i guess they wouldnt do much good but i wanted to snag me one just the same ...hehe
