Some Help, Bark Fragments or Recipe for Bone Machete

I have been trying to get some bark fragments for doing the Bone Machete recipe quest and after a few hours of LJing I have exactly 0.

Is there some special trick to getting the Bark Fragments?

I believe you need to have GM lumberjacking to get the fragments, but I could be wrong and you just need a certain skill level. I usually get about 4-5 for every pack full of logs, so they are fairly abundant. That said, if you still need them, I have some for you, although I will be going back to bed in a few minutes (only insomnia brings me here now). I'll actually drop 10 fragments into one of the chests in Luna (the one that is by itself), so if you get this soon enough, they should still be there (unless someone has more of a packratting problem than me and thought they needed 10 bark fragments!!!). Anyway, good luck finishing the quest!

Thanks for the info, got it to late but at least now I know why I am not getting any fragments.

Basara has offered some as well and I am going to PM him to see if he can still supply 10.

If you have not completed the quest, I would love to complete it with you. I also have 10 bark frags if you need them. I assume you have to complete the quest on your smith, right?

Yeah, it has to be on your smith. The recipe gets directly added to your character.

I left 16 bark in the static backpack container in Luna, by the provisioner, since I'm having to be elsewhere at the moment.
