Some advice for a new thief??

Hey everyone!! i'm new here!! so I will introduce myself first.
I'm pindulhi, i've played uo for almost 4 years (33 months to be specific) in the server Napa valley, and i have a couple of good chars....but ever since i started playing the thief profession seemed so interesting to me...i created a thief when i first started playing, not for the money (because i dont need it) but for the challenge, the fun, the adventure and of course bringing the high down!!! but it was pretty bad lol so I googled uo thief and found this awesome forum!! \o/ I read a lot of the posts here and that only made it seem cooler! so i deleted my other thief and made 2 new ones, 1 in napa and 1 in siege (where appearently u all play). Anyways, This is what i've thought so far for both of them:

120 stealing
100 snooping
100 hiding
80 wrestling
80 arms lore
80 stealth

100 Lockpicking (in soulstone for the thief in napa)

I would also like to have some chivalry so i could teleport and heal a little bit and all that...so maybe 40 chivalry?? what do u guys think?? tell me if i should change anything.

I would like to become a PvP thief, I've never done PvP before...so idk if it will work in napa, will it be a good profession?? or am i only going to stay a PvM thief there?? i guess i could become a pretty good PvP thief in siege with a lot of practice right??
but as i said before, i play mainly on Napa Valley.

And one last thing....any advice on how to start?? i would really appreciate your advice!! Thanks a lot!!

Take a peak into the other thread on new thief advice
A lot of great input there. But you do not need arms lore anymore to disarm or stun, all you need is wrestling

40-45 chiv works very well. You can also turn that 80 arms lore into 80 ninjitsu. It works very well for animal form and shadow jump

You don't need lockpicking for pvp thieving.

And I think you have room for 100 more skill in there. Maybe detect hidden or resist... Resist because you can resist some poison spells and simple paralyze spells. Detect because then no one can hide from you

ok thanks a lot!! i think ill go with detect hidden and one more question...whats the thief guild and how do i get in?? sorry for my ignorance but im completely new to siege

Search for an npc with a golden name. It will appear like "Bob the Thief Guildmaster." Walk up to him and say "Bob Join." Granted his name is Bob, lol. It will cost around 500 or something to join.

Seems better than before!! i think im covering everything a thief needs...plus the chivalry for teleporting and healing a little....thanks a lot for the advice abt detect hidden!! now no one will be able to hide from me >=) lol
I still want to keep the 100 lockpicking for the thief in napa...im gonna keep it in a soulstone so whenever i go to a dungeon or something i can open the chests...and my brother can remove the traps. I think its a good way to go since stealing will be harder in napa.

Oh and Touzoko when I join the thieves guild I will enter ur contest...dunno if ill be on time though...but thanks again guys!!

Have they finally fixed it so thief GMs show their guild title in their name?

makes it easier to find the elusive GM now days.

It was pretty easy before, you just looked for an npc with a yellow name and no title, made them stand out pretty well (there were one or two other proffesions where GMs didnt hve titles but they'd always be in buildings)
