Before anyone thinks this is me whining, it isn't.
I chose not to spend my minimal game-time on this event.
That being said, I have read so many dozens of people's reports that they spent hours on end doing this event and got little to no reward. This is not only a disappointment to them, but also to others that had a renewed hope when Jeff was announced as the new producer and sheer JOY when Mesanna was promoted.
For quite some time, we all had the feeling that the people in charge of UO didn't even PLAY UO, and now we have someone in charge that we see in game and actually has been a stellar communicator.
It is obvious that something went wrong with this latest event.
I do not believe that you can simply sell the rewards now, nor can you put in a "fix" for it.
After giving it some thought, I think the quest should simply be turned back on.
Give the people that have been working so hard credit for the number they turned in, and give a set number of cures that can be turned in for "X" reward.
This gives those that want to put in the time the opportunity to get the rewards and they know what they have to do to get it..
...and the ones that have put in HOURS of work already don't lose this valuable time either.
I am not as vocal in UHALL as some of the daily posters, but I assure you I have a deep love for Ultima Online and can clearly see that this single event has alienated a huge portion of the dwindling player base. Please consider this (or any other viable suggestion) and make this right.
(Right now my alliance is in a huge expansion to Siege, so we have all been training there which is why I didn't do the Cures in the first place... 'R.O.T.' - wow!)
