that is very true. i went to school with a guy who couldnt find a job worth [censored] when he graduated. he worked at a burrito place in town making maybe $20,000 a year
he found out that his degree made him eligible for the electronics section in the national patent office, a job which paid him in the neighborhood of $80-100,000 a year. he was still just a kid, so spent thousands on games, game consoles, computer and electronic equipment, etc... he would definitely have been one of those guys paying $2k for a computer game item
