Yea, dragons and gargs are the best.
Firesteeds for rubies (15-30), but they don't have a good spawn location.

Gargoyles and earth elementals work for me. Bonus with earth elementals is fertile dirt.

I forget, what does fertile dirt do again? Double growth check or double resources or what?
Been collecting gems from these whilst killing the queens for bags of sending.
Costs too much... 300 a gem aint gonna do it.Just buy them?

Not saying its "good" but stone harpies drop 2 gems each and they give 50 feathers (in Fel) and in you go to covetous they spawn so fast you cant wipe the spawn out yourself...

Dragons, Hiryus have a rare chance of dropping 20, fire steeds drop lots of ruby's. My fave though are the black solen infiltrators by despise in trammel, near the entrance of Wind.

chance to get an extra day when growth checking (green + indicates it in the plant gump) .. so you need less days growing a plant if you are lucky
I believe GM miners can buy a book in Ter Mur that lets them set their shovel to mine the regular (non-ML) gems instead of stone (and in addition to ore).
Well, good thing for us is that we only have to worry about making it to 70. After that it´s downhill...
For some unknown compulsive reason, I have been saving gems. A couple of months ago I decided to sell off all but 400 of each type. I used gypsy camps to get a decent price.
Looks like I'll be vending them on LS!
NPC jewelers sell them. Where did you get 300 each?
Thats what they cost on siege. NPC prices are much higher.
