My question now is this. was this house burning just a one time thing? or something that will be keeped up in the future? seems like how the scripters all got banned on the night UO turned 10.

Let us say that EA has checked various reported scripter/duper calls. Out of that they have a list of some number that at least a couple times were certainly suspicious.

So there is a selected/elite staff monitoring this list of seemingly evil-doers for a period of time - to accumulate evidence. Perhaps part was to look at items within the places for dupes. They tag houses that REALLY are suspicious as "Round #1".

Sooo, time passes and elite crew of 2 or more accumulate evidence of various nefarious activities centering around certain accounts and names. We now have enough for "Round 1" of punitive damage to the satisfaction of all. They let loose the dogs of war on this set of places.

In the meantime, they are accumulating more evidence against others ... "Round 2" and so forth.

See where this goes? And it is my hope that this little idea is what is really going on ... just to see added rounds of destruction!!

If your hypothesis is correct, there's going to be a lot more unhappy players on LA. There were more than a few notorious scripters standing outside the Luna fire saying "yeah, ban the scripters", knowing fully well they're cheaters themselves.

It might be a good idea for people to start letting EA/Mythic know of blatent scripters/dupers now.

Many, many, many folks have become tolerant or just figure it's a waste of time to complain after so many years of nothing being done.

Let EA/Mythic Devs know about these people! The more info they have the better job they can do. We just need faith and hope that this is just the first step of a process to eliminate the worst of the worst.

Exactly what I do anytime I watch a suspicious person.You can tell the scripters if your an aware player.Unattended macroers are even easier. I don`t page on anyone,I hafta be certain for myself that said person is cheating,but I make no bones about reporting them to EA.

I figure the squeeky wheel gets the grease.I play ALOT so its obvious who is doing what and where and who is outa place.EA gets enough input on a player they will be under the microscope so they can be given just enough rope to hang themselves.

I am curious. What is this person doing wrong??? Lets say I got and spent 500 dollars and bought a bunch of tokens to sell for UO gold. Is tehre anything wrong with that??? Thats all they are doing. They are cracking down on the scripters and the cheaters. These guys are not doing either.

your right theres nothing wrong with having unlimited supplies of items that are hard to acquire...
thats why it wouldnt hurt to check out the vendors

its not like the broker wasnt banned during the last big crackdown or anything...

How do you know? EA will thou...just a matter of looking into the account whether he did it legit or not.
