...earlier today...

Wandering around in T2A with my newly trained up (well, mostly) sampire looking for a spider spawn. I didn't feel like doing it in teth keep, so my only option was t2a. I roll on in at the north passage by minoc, get below, and find khaldun unpopped. I pop it and it's demons. Boo, cause I prefer doing Semidar in fire dungeon and, I was on a dude char without demon slayer so that was totally not a viable option. Ok, no problem, work up valor and move on.

On to tortoise. Hey! it was popped! Rats. Hmm, looking for spiders. Well, ok, move on. Wait...ratmen...lvl2, then I see the first person I have seen in fel since I retured to UO a week (ish) ago. I'm on a sampire, spawning... my character is way blue (I looked and I don't even have any murder counts! uh huh!) The blue that I saw disappeared so fast I didn't even see his name or guild (which was showing... I think). I was like, WOW!

So I loped on across the north face of tortoise and saw no more sign of the guy. Too bad. I've been a bit lonely lately. After further recon, I find that marble had already been popped with rats too. I was like, geez, so I run home, get the appropriate slayers for the rats/coon and run back to tortoise. No one there--regressed to lvl 1.

Long story short (or at least ending now). Whoever ran away at tortoise... you don't have to bail at the sight of another blue. I would have happily done the spawn with you. And if someone attacks, throw done back to back to back to back AI's and hope the dude wasn't ready for it. Or something! Geez.

and I didn't get anything cool from the spawn. 110s, a .9 focus pink (focus, really???), and some lvl1 and 2 primers.

Ok, so the next thing on my list has been to get back just a lot of the base items that I lost when I left all the houses IDOC and accounts go etc etc etc. Interestingly enough, I stored most of my weapons in the house, not bank boxes, so I lost most of my slayer weapons and the like. Somehow I even lost one of my mage's pvp weapon... I am confused as to how because she always had it on her. Oh well, whatever.

Anyways, with a serious lack of weapons and most of the gear prepped for pvp vs pvm, I figured that I'd need to restock my crafting/imbuing closet. So I grabbed my T-hunter and got a couple of... oh, yeah, all my t-maps disappeared too. So I grabbed my sampire and, wait, I need a scorpion slayer.... So I grabbed my crafter and went to trusy ol' Luna Mall and bought some white pearls and relics to imbue a scorpion slayer. One I got my little katana ready, my sampire ran to Labyrinth and caught Miasma sleeping on the job....

I whacked that scorpion upside the head about 10 different times getting two chests in the process. Yeah for me. I went home, dropped the chests off and summoned Cpt Morgan to do the rest of the business. After he unlocked and ka-boomed the chests, looted them and grabbed the maps, he set off with Puppy Love to Tokuna to dig the first treasure up.

After a long fight with 7 different guardians, Cpt M finally opened the chest. Victory at last! A rightous hunt.

Of course, lvl6 chest have a lot of loot. And after a while you get complacent... and BAM! Ambushed by a full grown hiryu!!! After a quick get away, Puppy Love responded with hard core tenacity and beat down that ****y dragon wanna-be.

Anyways, rinse and repeat a couple times and I finally am getting some products to work with again. And a lot of cleanup points. That's cool too (apparently I lost all my night sight earrings. seriously! who ever takes those off!)

...happy Thanksgiving everyone!

and I was in despise spawning up the coon. Having a good ol' time. Accidentally died cause I wasn't paying attention. See, well, what had happened was I was trying to get my enemy of one restarted and I wasn't really paying attention to my health bar and the coon when on one of his "I'm going to hit you 3 times in a row" things and, well, I didn't respond fast enough.

but that's besides the point. I'm very excited! See, I was spawning, got the coon down to like 10% or so and all of a sudden I see a red dude on the bridge. Honestly, I thought I miss saw it, but I didn't. The little dismount archer was looking to take me out. Sooooo, I disengaged from the coon and switched to my pvp-ish weapon (come on, I'm on a sampire, all I can really do is defend myself) and went after the dude. Of course he dismounted me... always fun. Do I disarmed him. Also a good time. I mounted back up on my ethy, but that took his whole disarm time, so before I could disarm him again (and that would have been the end of him, he managed to dismount me again. Poop!

Well, this little duel went on for a little while until I see two of his guildies show up. Well, I'm not good enough at pvp to pull a 1 on 3 in the best of times, and rolling alone with my sampire with no resist is FAR from the best of times. Anyways, so I bail (managed to see them coming and disarmed the archer in time for me to mount up) and run to the handicap ramp. I could have probably gotten out, but I stopped to see if someone was following. One was, so I attacked him, but his buddy came and quickly dismounted me. After that it was essentially over. I had a ton of pinks, but they were pretty worthless except the tinkering. If I was smarter I would have ran to the exit, but I'm not that smart. And, I haven't pvped in like 3 years, so it was pretty fun.

I'm enjoying my return to UO. I said hi to the reds on gen chat... but they ignored me. :-( Must be ex- P@!N members or something.

I got home from work this afternoon and figured that I'd try some UO... well, my little girl was being crazy so I really didn't get anything much done. I did, however, pop the spawns at marble and damwin. Don't ask me why I did... I just did. Anyways, I got way tired and went to bed super early. No big deal right... but then, for whatever reason, I wake up at 1AM. Hmmm, after a little tossing and turning, there's no hope for sleep, so I get myself a drink and log into our favorite little game.

First thing I do is run to marble to see if anyone did the rats.... of course they did. All the while I'm jabbering on in general chat and no one is there!!! I was so disappointed. Seriously! So I log onto my mage, pop dsp, and raise it to level 2. then grab my sampi and finish it up. ok, no big deal, do it again. The second time tho, the coon was just a monster. I mean, I was having a hard time staying alive (even died once, ouch!) and ran out of pots completely! The dude's armor was like super strong. I was lucky to get 30 point hits when he was rat... struggling for over 20 in human form. Anyways, I can't complain cause I know I was just being too lazy to duel client and bring the disco guy down, so i can't really complain.

Wait, yes I can. So I bash the coon's head in twice and am sick of solo spawning (just takes forever, you know), but I got NOTHING good for it. The power scrolls were good for cleanup points and the primers were junk. I mean, the only 120 I got was ninja. And the only level 3 primer I got was.... wait, that's right, no level 3. Grrrr!!! Anyways, I have lots of primers for underwater basketweaving and pottery.... but no level 3's. Poop

AI wasn't an issue, it was just the base. plus I, um, uh, don't have a repond slayer AI giver yet. See what had happened was.... my house fell and I lost everything and, well, starting from scratch almost. Yeah, that was with a soul seeker... so a bit of a break please

How in the world does a new player not just get completely frustrated with this game. I mean, I at least had a couple good suits of armor, garbs, sashes, etc on my characters who, by the way, still had their skills. Plus some money in the bank and the general knowledge about how the game works... I couldn't imagine how long it would take to start from scratch now days and become relevant. Whew, what an undertaking.

.... helping my wife bring furniture inside that she bought on craigslist. My kiddos come home from school and my boy jumps on UO and starts wacking stuff in fel with his nox mage. Anyways, after he scared the crap out himself summoning a demon (I laughed), he proceeded to then kill the crap out of a pack of turkeys that hang out around our little family homestead. No biggie, right.

Well, a distraught little girl came running for daddy because her brother was in big trouble. I come to the computers and my son says "a huge turkey just kicked my ass!" and what do you know! It's a giant turkey from the days of yore. I'm not positive, but it seems like you can summon the giant turkey by slaughtering the packs of wild turkeys roaming around.

Gotten your fill? If I may.... a 3 year break really brings back the motivation for some of the smaller pvm type things. Soooo, see you in 36 months? ha ha ha But if you log in, hit me up if you want some company for something. Not that I'm on all the time by any means... but I am sometimes.

Seriously though, I'm having a pretty good time rebuilding. It's fun again to get pinks/arties in anti-virtue dungeons. Having fun T-hunting. I'm enjoying tweeking/rebuilding templates (apparently I had put a lot of stuff on soulstones before letting them just disappear...) I dunno, it's been a pretty good time. Though I wish Chessy was a bit more vocal. I feel so lonely all the time.

On a separate note, I was messing around yesterday morning after server up and I let my boy come to a champ spawn (he's been itching). So I put him on my wife's sampire and brought him to dsp. I was on his mage character who can actually pvp (nox/scribe mage) but had luck on vs pvp stuff. Anyways, I was helping my boy out when viola! stealther pops out of somewhere. Luckily he attacked the mage instead of my boy. I had no chance on the mage... I didn't even recognize what was going on until the deathstrike hit. Anyways, I jumped onto my boys computer and ran him out. I really didn't want him getting wacked on his first trip to a champ spawn (though it would be fairly appropriate I guess). I hadn't felt frustrated after an attack in a long long time, but for some reason, that just felt awful. I wasn't even motivated to get on someone and try to hunt down ol' jelly donut.

Anyways, I'm SOOO excited for this spring/early summer when my internet provider completes their merger and our service will upgrade. Me, my boy, and my wife were fighting the giant turkey together and the 3 games were too much for our connection. Sad, but true.

i was under the opinion that some asshats from other shards have found a way to ghost despise. the shard is so dead on chessy but it seems despise is watched 24/7.

just might be the cynic in me... maybe not.

I can assure you that despise isn't watched 24/7, though I've managed to kill at least 1 of the people who tried to steal my champ, so maybe they leave me alone?

yeah, i'm pretty sure there isn't any ghosting going on. I've soloed dsp a couple of times in the last few weeks without interruption. and a few times with interruption... but the only reds i've seen out has been myself, jelly, and one time i got ganked by bazooka joe and flatliner. i don't think joe and flat are consistent players, but i might be wrong.

anyways, i do see people doing spawns on chessy. not a lot, but they're being done

We need to make a network across main shards, to help people get back into UO.
This game is still fun, and with the new additions there are new goals to be accomplished.

Good example:
I found out yesterday there are tiles and stairs you can add to your castle to fill in the courtyard area, on all stories. WHAT!? Do you people understand the amount of roses I can expand into?
