about to imbue some new jewelry for one of my chars, and I notice that I don't have any precision essence left. Well, I can't have a macer without HCI, right? So I luck up and run down to the abyss (thanks SHE for the teleporter, as always) to get me some essence of precision.

Yeah, and that's why I don't have a whole stack waiting for me. Geez! Why does that mini-spawn suck so bad! It's like you can't take a step without getting mega blasted by spells all over the place. I'm sitting there all sorts of in tram using pots and even my trap box for this thing. I absolutely hate doing that mini-champ.

Oh, yeah, so maybe I don't have a ton of luck, but I went down last night with 11 hundred somthing or another... not too shabby, and I did the whole thing twice and got 7 essences. 7!!!! Wow, what a gyp!!! So I went down there tonight, and what do you know, I can't stop dieing. I took a dirt nap 3 times doing that stupid spawn. But apparently dieing helps get you stuff, cause I took home 12 essences and there were a couple other fortune seekers around there now and again.

Yeah, I got no love for the fire ant/dumb aligator/buring gargoyle/efreet/lava elem/fire daemon spawn. I mean, which slayer do you use???? I decided on the flame slayer, mostly for the lava elems and the reknowned, but jeez, I really hate that mini-champ. I much prefer the tardo rats in junk valley.

Anyone want to donate a couple hundred ess of precision so I never have do that horrible mini-champ again? Come on, I know you want to.

whirlwind is ur friend there. a sammy does o.k. though on third level i like to go across the bridge and pull up 2-3 things max at a time.

another good combo is the tamer/necro using the gdragon.

patience takes u a long way in that spawn. for drops ur at the mercy of rng. i've gotten as much as 14 for a spawn and low as 5...

i feel ur pain though.

I equipped a flame slayer but didn't see any impact from it. I farmed up my essences there using a sampire with soul seeker (100% cold damage) and just whirlwinded everything. Fire ants are annoying, so I use EoO for them. The side spawn at that level doesn't hurt. The last level - fire daemon and lava elementals goes pretty fast. If I have the daemons isolated I'll use EoO, otherwise I just try to keep only two targets on me and use momentum strike.

Your essence drop rates seem comparable to what I've seen there.

Yeah its a shame the flame slayer doesnt work on everything down there, but it Does work on the lava elementals, and since they can be a real pain with their paralyze spell i think its worth it. I know the slayer also works for the lava serpents, but they arent much of a threat anyways.
Really wish it would work for the ants.
