Who is going to transfer their Crafters to Gargs for the extra skill jewelry slots? I might actually be able to add Imbuing and get Magery on there.

Pretty sure you can't add crafting/gathering skills to jewelry. The only space this is going to clear out is magery/music/meditation. I'll still need 2 crafters, hopefully I can keep it to that (looks like I'm going to want cooking too).

I'm going to spread crafting skills. I already had to soulstone cooking because of armslore bonus :/
I'll keep carpentry+tailoring+blacksmithing+armslore together at least, and maybe I'll add musicianship for the occasion (yeah I already have it on 2 other characters and it's really boring to raise since the removal of 8x8).

I am keeping my elf tailor/cook/tinker/carpenter/alchemist and turning my smith/miner/lumberjack/bower into a garg. I can't see how you can have only one crafter anymore, unless you soulstone what you are not using at the time.

Thats want I meant for the most part. I will not have to have any real points in non-crafting skills.

I am still not shure, if I should turn my main crafter into a gargoyle. Only reason probably would be to get the gargoyle racial bonus for enhancing
If I cannot get such mentioned alteration toeksn (or quests), this would be no concern. Transferring the skills to a newly created gargoyle is out of discussion for me. It simply took too much time to gather the heartwood recipes for fletching, carpentry, blacksmith, tailoring and tinkering.

I still see the Imbuer as more a mage than a craft person, and UO seems to bend that way because of where the skill is actually grouped, and because of its association with Mysticism.

I'll be making a fresh Garg in the 7th slot I purchased just for that reason. Will begin character with 50-50 Imbue/Mystic then soulstone over supporting skills such as Item ID, magery, meditation, focus (flying is a stamina killer). No offense/defene for this Garg - he will be living at Queen's soul forge or at my Clan's soulforge...

My Crafters will craft, my garg will imbue - no need to mix ths skillsets together...

I won't be changing my char to gargoyle. I am Siege and have had the same char there for over 5 years. I didn't change her when elves comes out, and I won't be changing her now. Patty is human and will stay that way.

Hate to break it to you all that were contemplating the premise of this post, but the devs have stated that the Gargoyle jewelry spots (which take the place of two of the armor slots) will only be imbuable/craftable with ARMOR properties.
